When: Tuesday 21 - Friday 24 October
8.00am to 4.00pm each day
Cash, cheque, credit & EFTPOS facilities will be
available.
To help make the Book Fair a success, volunteers
are needed to assist at the beginning and end of
each day: 8.30-9.30am and 2.45-3.30pm.

Term Four school fees accounts were
emailed or sent in the mail on 25th September. If
you do not have a payment plan, and have not
yet paid your account, please make payment
arrangements by the due date: Tuesday 21st
October.
If you would like to make regular payments,
contact the business office to arrange a direct

III IN LABORATORY
at Cooloola Christian
Expressions of interest are sought for the
above traineeship from current Year 10
students who intend studying at least two senior
science subjects in 2015, and later intend to attend
a tertiary institution for science related studies.
The course is expected to take two years to
complete and the early completion of this course will
assist in reducing the workload in the last two terms
of Year 12. Applications close at the first bell at the
end of First Break, Friday 24th October.
Applications submitted after that time will not be
accepted.
Selection interviews will be conducted during the
next week, and enrolment of the successful
applicant will occur as soon as possible afterward.
Interested students should see either Mrs Dowell or
Mr Venz for further information. Stacy Hughes has
recently completed this course and is willing to
answer queries.

Instrumental Music
Community Notices
Preparations are under way for 2015 and all current
students should have received an information
pack. Please return the completed purple sheet to Mrs
Forward by Friday 7th November.
Information shared here is a means of communication with the
College community. Publication does not mean College

Any other students who are interested in joining the
Instrumental Programme in 2015 should come and get
an information Pack from Mrs Forward as soon as
possible.
Instruments on offer include Piano, keyboard, violin,
viola, cello, percussion (drums), guitar, flute, clarinet,
trumpet, trombone, alto sax and tenor sax.
Come and celebrate the art
from talented youth in our
region at the official opening
of the annual Hi Artworks
exhibition at the Gympie
Regional Gallery on Thursday 23rd October 5.30pm for
a 6.00pm start. This exhibition showcases excellence
in art across the region’s high schools from students in
Years 9 - 12.
Encore
Encore is a concert celebrating the Instrumental
Program and will be held on Tuesday 4th November
commencing at 6:30pm. The School Ensembles and
most Instrumental students will be performing (not
Guitar students) as well as the Primary Choir and the
Secondary A Capella Group. Tickets are now available
from the Office. Adults $6 & School Age Students $3
Uniform Shop
As you are aware, from 2015 a new Sports polo shirt
will be introduced. The transition to the new sports
shirt will take place over the 1st Semester in 2015.
During this time, students will be able to wear the
current sublimated polo shirts as well as the new
shirt. From Semester 2, 2015 only the new shirt will
form the College’s sports uniform for both Primary
and Secondary students.
The new sports shirts will be available for purchase at
the beginning of next year. If you have any queries
concerning the purchase of the new shirts please don’t
hesitate to come and see us.

hands raised is simple!
Take part in ‘Raise Your Hand
for Anaphylaxis Awareness’: a national campaign
aimed at increasing anaphylaxis awareness in the
community, particularly in schools and among schoolaged children. We are delighted to be able to offer your
school the chance to win:

Cricket Pitch Party
Come along and play the first game on the new
cricket pitch at CCC on Thursday 16th October from
3pm, first ball bowled at 3.30pm.

The next arvotea@ccc will be held on Tuesday 21st
October in the primary area. All are welcome!
The two schools with the most hands raised by 18th
December 2014 will be the winners of the grants.

school from a drop-down list. Participants can raise
their hand once every day during the course of the
competition.
Get your families raising their hands. Please share this

Research Opportunity
Pearson Clinical and Talent Assessment is conducting
a research project across Australia and New Zealand
on skills related to intelligence, learning and
achievement.
Who can participate?
Participants between 4 years and 19 years 11 months
who are fluent in English.
 Participants will receive a book pack for their
participation;
 Participation takes between 30-150 minutes (not
including breaks);
 Participation involves testing participant skills and
ability.
All information collected will remain confidential and
only used for research purposes by the team at
Pearson Clinical and Talent Assessment. To nominate
