Chair of the Day, Jerry Hauer introduced our speaker, Dave Brannan of “The Dave Brannan Show”. Dave is a Native of Fairborn, and left home at 18. He traveled to Indianapolis, where he earned his degree in I.T., and worked with Code-a-Phone. During this time he started to realize his hobby of impersonations, was a passion he wanted to turn into a career. In 1984, he was named Showtime’s funniest comedian in Indiana. In 2005 he moved to Las Vegas, to perform and was there for 8 years until he needed to come home and help care for his mother. Dave performed a multitude of impersonations during his “Johnny Carson’s: Tonight show in the sky” routine. “Johnny’s” guests included: President Ronald Reagan, President George W. Bush and President Bill Clinton. He also “interviewed” Rodney Dangerfield, Andy Rooney and Marlon Brando. He closed out the program with Carnac the Magnificent and his telepathic reading of questions inside of sealed envelopes.
