DPC workshop
will review its
strategic plan
The Delta Protection Commission (DPC) Advisory Committee will
conduct a public workshop, April 16, in Walnut Grove, that will provide
an overview of the DPC Vision 2030 Strategic Plan Public Draft, answer
questions, and receive comments. There will also be a webinar briefing
on April 22. Register for the webinar here.
Also, the DPC has given notice that it will amend its Conflict of Interest
Code. The public comment period for the amended code is April 3 to May 18.

seminar on the
Delta and climate
change is May 6
The Delta Stewardship Council’s Delta Science
Program and the University of California, Davis, Center
for Aquatic Biology and Aquaculture will present a daylong seminar, May 6, at UC Davis, titled New Approaches for Responding to Climate
Change in the San Francisco Bay-Delta. The seminar is free and open to the public.

DWR, DFW release
joint program
Annual Report
DWR and the Department of Fish and Wildlife (DFW) have released the joint Fish
Restoration Program Annual Report, covering November 2013 through December 2014.
PPIC establishes Water
Policy Center, releases
California’s Water
The Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) has
established the PPIC Water Policy Center that provides
information on a variety of California’s water challenges
and some of the potential solutions. The PPIC has also released California’s Water, a
series of reports on nine issues, including climate change, storing water, and managing
droughts. Of particular interest is “The Sacramento San-Joaquin Delta” on page 18.
FloodSAFE has
developed an online
regional flood atlas
America’s National
PrepareAthon! is
April 30
FloodSAFE California of DWR has developed an online regional
flood atlas. Several of the nine flood planning regions include the
Delta. Maps in these regional flood atlases show the flood risk
characteristics and hazards in each region.
