We have an exciting but sheltered swim course along the shore side with a spectacular view to the great North Atlantic Ocean outside. The swim is one loop with turning point in the bay at Aadnevika after 1900 meters. The water is normally clear and the depth will vary from 3 to 20 meters. There are no strong currents You will be escorted by crew in boats and kayaks. The crew will guide you and ensure you follow the course. If you get any kind of problems, please signal to the crew by wave your hands. You exit the water in the sheltered harbor at Tjeldstoe at the same place where the swim begun. Please use the designated wheelchair ramp when exiting the water. You will be guided by the crew. When exiting the water you have a 200 meter walk to T1. You will cross the main road after 50 meters. Please follow the directions of the crew. The pathway to T1 will be marked by a green felt mat for you to walk on. CYCLING In T1 the bikes will be lined up on the sports ground. You are allowed to enter the bike once you hit the asphalt. Once on the bike you go slight uphill for 50 meters, then you turn left and go about 100 meters until you hit the roundabout. You enter the roundabout and turn left again. You are now in the bike slope. You will lap 4 and a half times between Sture and Vik which is 20 km further down the road. On the last lap you stop at Rong witch is in the middle of the lap for the T2 transition. When biking you will cross 6 bridges. The landscape is epic, crossing the small islands with the fjord on one side and the great ocean on the other. The bike course is quick and exciting. You will mainly be biking 10 – 20 meters above sea level. The lap you will be biking is the same as we used when we hosted the Norwegian time trial championships both in 2008 and 2012, won by Edvald Boasson Hagen and Reidar Borgersen, and will be used for the 2017 World championship bike team trials and mass start. After 180 km you enter T2. You exit the bike course to the right-hand side at Rong in the middle of the lap. T2 is situated at Rong Center. RUNNING Then you go straight into the marathon course. The course is a 4 lap’s slope. It is a quick course. The only ascent on the course is crossing the Rongesund Bridge. When crossing the bridge you can watch the next county Sogn og Fjordane to the north and Ulriksmasten, that towers over Bergen, to the south. And to the east you will in some years still be able to see the snow on the highest mountains. All this distracts you from your weary bones. The run is on the pavement. Please keep the right-hand side. When overtaking, please overtake to the left.
