Admission Requirements
To qualify for admission into the M.Ed.
Instructional Specialist - Bilingual
Education program, you must:
Submit a completed admission
application
Have an undergraduate GPA of
3.00 or greater
Provide a resumé with your latest
work experience and skills
Write a statement of purpose
demonstrating your personal and
professional goals as related to the
focus of the program
International students whose first
language is not English must also
submit:
Official TOEFL (Test of English as
a Foreign Language) score of at
least 213 on the online version, or
550 on the paper-based version
Admission factors will be reviewed
holistically to assess the potential of
the applicant.
Curriculum
The 36-credit online Bilingual Education program requires
you to complete 12 semester credit hours of professional
development courses and 24 semester credit hours in
the bilingual education concentration. Spanish language
proficiency is not required to pursue this degree, but
students may find that a basic understanding of the
language is helpful in some courses.
