1. All entries must be delivered to Beerwah CWA Hall on Simpson

1. All entries must be delivered to Beerwah CWA Hall on Simpson Street, Beerwah on Friday 5th
June between 9.30 and 12 noon.
2. Participants may enter for competition in one or both of the following categories:
a. General tea cosy
b. Royal theme – celebrating all things Royal on the Queen’s Birthday weekend
3. Each tea cosy entry must have the following information attached:
a. Complete name of maker
b. Title of work
c. When and where the tea cosy was made
d. Category of tea cosy
4. Tea cosies must be the original work of the entrant, and have not been previously exhibited.
5. Tea cosies can be made using a pattern or of your own original design.
6. Tea cosies can be made using the following methods, crochet, knit, sewn or felted.
7. Each entry must be accompanied by the non-refundable entry fee of $1. Cash payments may
be made by hand delivery of cosy to hall.
8. Tea cosies may be submitted for sale. Please note that the Beerwah CWA receives 20%
commission of sale price.
9. Entries will be returned if tea cosies are properly labelled and not sold. The Beerwah CWA
will do their best to return entries intact and promptly. However the Beerwah CWA are not
responsible for any lost or damaged entries. Insurance remains the responsibility of the
entrant.
10. Entries will be judged on artistic expression, creativity, originality and the quality of
execution. All decision of the judges are final.
Prizes will be awarded as follows: 1st Overall - $10
2nd Overall - $6.00
Highly Commended - Certificate
People’s choice - $6.00
11. By signing and submitting entry form, participants agree to grant Beerwah CWA use of
photographs in displays related to this contest in any and all printed and electronic material.
Apart from this copyright resides with entrant.
12. Once judging is complete, winners will be notified via telephone via the number given on
entry form, and will also be published in local press/media.
