Silent Auction - Quilt Donation Guidelines
Thank you for generously donating your beautiful quilts to benefit the children and youth of Cunningham.
The following guidelines may help you understand our priorities and guidelines for the Silent Auction.
1. All proceeds from the Silent Auction will benefit
Cunningham Children’s Home, a 501(c)(3)
organization. All contributions are tax-deductible as
allowed by law.
2. Quilts donated to the Silent Auction become the
property of Cunningham Children’s Home.
2. Due to space limitations, the Festival of Quilts
Committee reserves the right to place some
silent auction donations into the gift shop or
quilt boutique.
3. Quilts must be hand made. They may be either hand
or machine pieced and quilted.
4. Quilts must be in excellent condition, this includes
completed, clean, and undamaged. The Festival
of Quilts committee looks for craftsmanship to
determine opening bid price of auction quilts.
5. Donors are asked to provide suggestions regarding
the quilt’s value and sale price. However, the
Festival of Quilts Committee reserves the right to
determine the starting bid and Angel Price. Please
remember that this is a benefit for Cunningham
kids, so some quilts may be “priced to sell,” at the
committee’s discretion.
6. Quilts that are not sold during the Festival of Quilts
may be held for another year or sold in another
venue, including but not limited to the gift shop,
quilt boutique, or online auction. Whenever
possible, donors will be notified of the final outcome
of their quilt.


Every Quilt and Every Child Has a Story...
Every young person at Cunningham Children’s Home is given a
hand-made quilt that is theirs to keep. These quilts are lovingly
created by United Methodist Women and quilters from across
the state.
The Festival of Quilts celebrates this special connection with a
quilt show, silent auction, and gift shop of hand-crafted items.
Proceeds from the event benefit the children and youth of
Cunningham Children’s Home.
