Politics & Legislation
by John Faro, Political Junkie
The New Hampshire Legislature has
passed their version of “Constitutional
Carry” and the bill (SB116) has been
sent to the governor’s office.
Unfortunately, Governor Hassan has
publicly stated several times that she
will veto this legislation.
According to FBI crime statistics,
Constitutional Carry in the state of
Vermont and several other states has
lowered the crime rates in these states.
When law-abiding citizens carry
legally concealed firearms, our
communities are statistically safer
than those communities that restrict
the use of legally owned firearms.
Criminals do not get their firearms
from the local gun shop or legal gun
shows. They do not subject themselves
to NIC’s checks before trying to obtain
a firearm. “Gun Free Zones” are
actually FREE FIRE ZONES for
criminals. If you can pass a NIC’s
check and legally purchase a firearm,
why do you need permission from
some local authority to exercise a
Constitutional right?
While New Hampshire has had
licensed concealed carry for 92 years,
recent court cases have changed our
state’s practice of allowing anyone
who may legally own a firearm to carry
one concealed. SB116 will fix this.
As this article is being written, our
illustrious governor has not signed, nor
has she vetoed, this legislation. I urge
you to contact the governor by phone,
email, or US Mail as soon as possible.

Enjoy the warm weather. After this
last winter I’m not sure how long our
summer is going to last. Stay vigilant we are dealing with politicians.
