We hear she is doing well. Auxiliary: Mon, June 15 @ 5:15pm CANDY COUNT: Just how many stars are in that jar? $1 to guess, closest without going over wins the candy and ½ the pot!! WATCH CLUB FOR SIGN UP AND 18th. DETAILS! KENTUCKY DERBY DAYS WAS A LOT OF FUN! Corky won for best hat and Larry H won with the great tie! A big THANK YOU goes out to Cindy Lou, Terri H, Ron Talley for pictures and my new club committee ladies Char C, Joanie G, Sylvia B, Cathy Beltz, Linda Staley, for preparing our meal! Without you all we couldn’t have pulled this off. Thank you to all the volunteering. SILENT AUCTION was an all-time hit! There was quite a few bidding wars but I think most ended up with the items they wanted! All proceeds went into the Picnic Fund. Had a great time with the sauerkraut band in the house on the 16th! They always get the energy going. See them again at the picnic August 1st! Bake Sale was a great success as well! Good turnout in donations and a great turn out in purchases! Thank you to all who participated by baking or buying! COUPLES MEAT SHOOT/POTLUCK: Another great success with 11 couples, everyone had a good time! Doing it again June 14th, Rich is looking for input on Scotch Doubles every tournament or alternating with Regular Doubles. A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Steve Etheridge, Mel Steele, Jerry Compton, Larry Ackerman and Steve Osterberg for getting it done! We now have A safe handicap ramp out our side door!! I also owe a special thank you to Larry Ackerman for cleaning roof, drains, pressure washing, weed whacking, and any other thing that he can help with. He is always willing to help with anything. SPECIAL HAPPENINGS THIS MONTH: BUNCO Monday, June 8th!! AUXILIARY PADDLE WHEEL – FRIDAY, JUNE 12th. sandwiches available!! Auxiliary will also have COUPLE’S POTLUCK MEAT POOL SHOOT – SUNDAY, JUNE 14th @1PM. Bring your favorite potluck dish. Let Rich know if you want to shoot. If you don’t have a partner, come in anyhow and we will try and pair you up with one. SCOTCH DOUBLES JUNE 28th. Time to gangster and flapper up your attire!!!! SPAGHETTI SAUCE COOK OFF & GANGSTER ATTIRE DAYS JUNE 27th Something new!! Sign-up sheet behind the bar, see your bartender to sign up for the Spaghetti Sauce Cook off. The Club will be providing the noodles, garlic bread and cheese. Costume contest for best gangster outfit men and women. Jail and drink specials. Voting will be at 4:00 followed by the horse races. The jail will also be available to put your friends in $1.00 in/$1.00 out. This is bound to be fun. RICH is now sending out an email at least once a week with the goings on at the Club. If you have not received one yet please be sure we have an up to date email address if you would like to receive this. This is also your opportunity to give feedback or express ideas or make suggestions. REMINDER, TO ALL MEMBERS: Please be aware that we have limited parking. If everyone would be a little more aware/considerate of how they park (meaning please pull forward so as not to take up two spots), that would help a lot. Also, our handicap spots are designated for those that are truly handicapped, elderly, or loading and unloading. Thank You
