All of the Dancing Man knives and ulus are hand-crafted by Maynard Linder, in Homer, Alaska. He
uses salvaged steel (from thinnest to thickest—hand saw steel, bandsaw steel, and 2-man saw steel).
Handles are made from naturally shed caribou and moose antler (occasionally deer antlers, when a
crown/rosette is used). Or, “upgrade” to a fossilized bone handle—walrus rib bone or Mermaid
Bone™ (extinct Steller’s Sea Cow bone). Occasionally, Local Showcase offers knives/ulus with
walrus ivory artifact handles or musk ox horn handles. Contact us for availability.

The majority of the knives and ulus sold through Local Showcase are electro-etched with
the DMKU logo, and text “Maynard Linder, Homer, Alaska.” No extra charge is added
to the knives and ulus for this feature, valued at $5 per imprint.
Shipping
Items are shipped by USPS mail, with delivery confirmation. We self-insure our
packages, except for special, irreplacable items. Minimum shipping charge is $8. If
postage exceeds $8, total actual postage will be charged.
Payments
Items are usually shipped with payment due on delivery. Payment can be made by check
to Local Showcase. We also process Visa and Mastercard.
