Process & Control Technician POSITION: REPORTS TO: CLASSIFICATION: SITE: APPROVED: DATE: POSITION DESCRIPTION Process & Control Technician Project Manager Common Law Contract Lockwood People & Performance Manager March 2015 1. PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The Process & Control Technician is responsible for optimising process flows and for identifying and rectifying process problems in the production environment. This will be achieved through planning, administering and reviewing current manufacturing processes, and through the development of control systems based solutions for systematic processes of work. Liaising with Production Managers/Supervisors and working closely with various technical staff including ICT and Project Engineers you will identify and implement business systems and process improvements across the production environment. 2. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Production Systems Project manage business systems and process improvements across the Hazeldene’s Lead in monitoring, reviewing identifying and implementing processes to drive continuous improvement activities through the execution of best practice Monitor product quality to ensure conformance with quality standards and customers' requirements Development & implementation of systems & processes to assist production planning, adding business value Ongoing development of Business Solutions relating to Control Systems Infrastructure, & other technological advances Implement standard engineering practices as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion. Ensure planned key performance indicators in production efficiency and performance are met or exceeded Implement systems of preventive maintenance of equipment and machines Lead in monitoring, reviewing identifying and implementing processes to drive continuous improvement activities through the execution of best practice Document and implement Good Manufacturing Practices Monitor product quality to ensure conformance with quality standards and customers' requirements Staff Management Support OH&S and Quality Representatives as required Participate in training and development of staff to meet business objectives Adopt good communication practices to ensure free flow of information that will empower and enhance staff morale and efficiency and production requirements. Quality & OHS Systems Ensure compliance to all Government Legislative requirements Assist QA and OHS departments with issues raised relative to processing and sales responsibilities including the accurate completion of all paperwork on a daily basis Be proactive in improving safe work practices and workplace environment Monitor, apply and promote Company policies in all work practices Understand and implement SOP's consistent with OH&S Policies and Company policies and procedures Assist the OH&S function to implement Occupational Health and Safety, aiming to eliminate injuries 3.
