Choosing the Right Tree for the Right Location & How to Plant that Tree
This class will help you make the right decision when it comes to tree selection and planting. We will explore
environmental factors that influence tree selection, what you should look for when purchasing a tree, tree placement
and proper planting techniques.
May 9 The Secrets of Irrigation Management
Overwatered landscapes not only cost you money in the form of all that wasted water, but they result in the poor
performance and even death of the trees and shrubs we plant! Learn how to improve your sprinkler efficiency,
conduct an irrigation audit and program your controller. See what’s new in the way of irrigation technology that can
save you money and improve the quality of your landscape!

Trees, Shrubs and Perennials for Attracting Birds and other Wildlife
Create a wildlife sanctuary in your backyard! In this class, we will briefly cover the basic components needed for
attracting birds and wildlife, and then go over several dozen trees, shrubs and perennials that will do the job for you.

The problem - you need to landscape a small garden space, or you are looking for small trees or shrubs that will work
with your container garden. The solution - this class! We will cover a variety of deciduous and evergreen trees and
shrubs, as well as some perennials, that will add the color and texture you want without outgrowing your available
space.

It’s never too early to be thinking about adding fall interest to your yard! We will go over the basics of fall color, and a
variety of colorful tree and shrub selections. We will also touch on fruit, bark, perennials and ornamental grasses that
provide fall and winter interest.
