Les métiers de l’agroalimentaire :
du CAP au bac pro
L’agroalimentaire est le premier secteur industriel de La Réunion.
S’appuyant sur une production agricole diversifiée ainsi que les
outils industriels et commerciaux, l’agroalimentaire représentait sur
l’île plus de 800 entreprises en 2013 : viandes, légumes, fruits,
sucre, travail du grain, boissons, industrie laitière, sucre, poisson,
aliment pour animaux, boulangerie, etc.
Plus précisément, l’industrie agroalimentaire (IAA) se définit comme
l’activité qui transforme les matières premières issues de l’élevage,
l’agriculture, la pêche en produits destinés à l’alimentation
humaine.
