Generously supported by an Xcel Energy Foundation Arts Grant the
BTAC is presenting a series of art classes to select members of the
Kids’ SAFARI program during the 2014-15 school year. The sessions
are being taught by Bloomington Art Center instructors. Individual
sits are able to select from a variety of art education areas including
drawing, illustration, comic arts, painting, clay, design, 3-D arts,
jewelry, fiber, printmaking, and multi-media arts.

Congratulations to our 5th Grade
All-District Singers! AUDITIONS
are completed and the members of
the 2015 All-District choir have been
selected! This choir is a fee-based, self-sustaining
program. Members are selected from all 10 Bloomington
Elementary schools. Those accepted into the choir each
received a congratulatory letter in the mail in December.
Rehearsals begin on January 13 and a final concert will be
performed in April! A special thanks to our Elementary
Vocal Music Instructors for their assistance and support!

Wish Upon A Ballet
Ages 3-5. Dance to the beautiful music of “Frozen” in session 1 and
the Nutcracker for session 2. Using musical instruments, parachutes
and scarves we will create a complete fairy tale experience while we
skip, leap, jump and spin. Movements and vocabulary of ballet are
taught in a fun and creative manner, while developing strength and
flexibility. Parents, family and friends will be invited to observe a
special performance at the end of each session. Come join the fun! Girls
and boys will need ballet shoes. Girls should wear a leotard and tights.
Boys should wear comfortable clothes to move. All students will receive
a free fairy wand or pirate hat during the winter session.

Clogging is one of North America’s oldest dance forms and a
great way to get in shape in a supportive group!. Similar in
style to both tap and Irish step dancing, clogging is learned
