ANNOUNCEMENT OF OFFICER NOMINATIONS CONNECTICUT CHAPTER The Connecticut Chapter of ITE Nominating Committee has nominated the following slate for 2015: PRESIDENT: VICE PRESIDENT: Kwesi Brown, P.E., PTOE Craig Yannes, P.E., PTOE SECRETARY/TREASURER: Joseph Rimiller, P.E., PTOE Jorge Simbaqueba, EIT, LEED Green Assoc. Kwesi Brown, P.E., PTOE - Candidate for President Kwesi is a project manager with Milone & MacBroom, Inc. in Cheshire, CT. He has 13 years of experience in transportation planning and engineering. He has a Masters degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut, is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Connecticut and also a registered Professional Traffic Operations Engineer. His experience includes a wide variety of projects such as corridor planning studies, multimodal planning studies, traffic impact studies, traffic signal design and traffic operations and coordination analysis. Kwesi has been an active member of Connecticut ITE since 2002 and resides in Newington with his wife and two children. Craig D. Yannes, P.E., PTOE - Candidate for Vice President Craig is a project engineer with Tighe & Bond in Shelton, CT. He holds his Masters of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut, he is a Professional Engineer in the State of Connecticut, and he is certified by the Transportation Professional Certification Board as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer. Craig has a strong background in transportation and traffic engineering and planning. His technical specialties include traffic signal design, traffic impact studies, traffic feasibility and planning studies, transit planning studies, parking studies, traffic calming planning and design, as well as roadway and parking lot design. Craig has been an active member of Connecticut ITE since 2010. Craig resides in Milford, CT with his wife, Angela. Joe Rimiller, P.E., PTOE - Candidate for Secretary – Treasurer Joe is a senior project engineer with Beta Group, Inc. in Hartford, CT. He has 13 years of experience in traffic engineering and transportation planning. He has a Masters degree in Transportation and Urban Planning from the University of Connecticut, is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Connecticut and also a registered Professional Traffic Operations Engineer. His experience includes a wide variety of projects such as traffic signal design, traffic operations analysis, planning studies, and traffic impact studies. Joe has been an active member of Connecticut ITE since 2002 and currently serves as the Chapter’s webmaster. Jorge Simbaqueba, EIT, LEED Green Assoc. – Candidate for Secretary – Treasurer Jorge is a project engineer with CDM Smith in East Hartford, CT. He was awarded his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut in 2010 and is currently working on a Masters of Science in Transportation and Urban Engineering from the same institution. He is certified as a LEED Green Associate, has his Engineer-in-Training certification and will be sitting for the State of Connecticut Professional Engineering exam in October of 2015. Jorge has over two years of experience in highway geometric design, 3D roadway modeling, traffic signal design, traffic impact studies, GIS mapping and asset management. Jorge has been an active member of Connecticut ITE since 2010 and was actively involved in the University of Connecticut ITE Student Chapter.
