GREAT NEWS – FUNDING UPDATE
Community Transport Port Stephens has received great news. CEO, Ian
Nowacki, is very happy to confirm that funding for the Home and Community
Care program has been extended until 30 June 2017. The Commonwealth
Government’s original plan was to hold an open tender for community transport
services from 1 July 2015.
The staff at CTPS are very happy to be able to continue to provide transport to
our valued clients for another two years.
If you would like information regarding the changes to the Commonwealth
Home Support Programme, fact sheets are available at the myagedcare
website www.myagedcare.gov.au
SENIORS WEEK 2015
Community Transport Port Stephens, integratedliving and Port Stephens Veterans &
Citizens Aged Care Ltd, are organising a joint luncheon and silent expo to celebrate
Seniors Week 2015.
The event will be held on St Patricks Day, 17th March 2015 at the Nelson Bay Bowling Club. This will
be a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a lovely lunch and good company, as well as discovering what
services are available to support you in your local area. Door-to-door transport will be provided.
In the past the Seniors Week luncheons have been very popular, so book in early to save
disappointment. See the flyer in our vehicles, or contact the office for details and to book your ticket.
