It appears Stephens drowned. Officials are awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause of death. ♦ WEST END BUSINESS BURGLARIZED Cartersville Police were called to an alarm at Compass Financial Partners, 680 Douthit Ferry Rd., around 1:00 a.m. Sunday. Officers arrived to find the glass back door shattered. Keyholders James Earl Jordan, III and Dennis Collier arrived at the business and determined a Washburn Banjo and a briefcase containing paperwork taken. Security footage was reviewed and two males with their faces covered with bandanas were seen. The stolen items are worth almost $2,000. ♦ FIFTEEN COMPANIES COMMIT IN 2014 The Cartersville-Bartow Co. Department of Economic Development released their 2014 Economic Development Annual report to its Board of Directors, Monday. Paul Limerick, Canton, died from a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Cherokee Co. Sheriff's negotiators and SWAT members communicated with Limerick about 5 hours before he shot himself.
