BARRIE KNITTING CHALLENGE
On April 16th The Volunteer Stitchers of Barrie will host a ChangeTheWorld event for the benefit of the
Royal Victoria Hospital and other beneficiaries in Barrie. Youth Volunteers are invited to learn to knit, or
just join in the fun to produce blankets, baby hats and other easy to knit or crochet projects to be
donated. First meeting on April 16th is 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. For more information about the location, contact

cause!
MS WALK
On May 3rd, Volunteer to walk or run in the MS Walk nearest you. Youth can volunteer to help out with
the walk. The MS Walk is a celebration of the power we have to change the lives of Canadians with MS.
By coming together, we make a tangible and life-changing difference to thousands of people with MS.
The MS Walk is a family-oriented, community-supported event offering walking routes of varying lengths
including a wheelchair-accessible route. It features start/finish line activities, inspiring words from

ONTARIO SPCA “NO HOT PETS” CAMPAIGN
On May 23rd. All Provincial branches of the OSPCA will be conducting an awareness campaign to end the
unfortunate practice of leaving pets in hot cars in the summer time. Community Reach invites Youth 14
and older to participate in this important event in several locations throughout North Simcoe, Muskoka,
Huron and Grey/Bruce Counties. Information about locations and how to sign up will be available on our
website and OSPCA branch websites as of April 20th.
