Fraud Alert
Protect Your Money - and Your identity
Let’s face it: Fraud happens. Bank fraud has increasingly
become a concern for consumers and financial institutions alike
over the years, but there are ways to protect yourself and
mitigate the damaging effects of any unexpected losses.
Members should be reviewing their statements at least
monthly – to note any unusual activity that may be
compromising their accounts. Any of the following items could
be indicators of potential fraudulent activity:

Unusual withdrawals and debit card activity;
Deposit patterns that do not match normal account operations;
Large items;
Payroll entries; and/or
Transfers in and out of the account
Fraudulent transactions should be promptly reported to the credit union – no later than 60 days from the date of the transaction.
Other ways to protect your account from any potentially devastating fraud include monitoring your account(s) via any one of Telco’s electronic
banking services (Online Banking, Text Banking, Telco’s Mobile App) – which are available at any time!
The credit union recently updated its Online and Mobile Banking App login credentials to provide additional security to members who opt to
use these services.

Cookbooks for a Cause
October is Telco’s United
Way Campaign Month!
Telco is proud to partner with the Capital Area United Way of Southeast Louisiana
each year to promote their mission of Helping People – Improving Communities.
United Way is actively impacting the community by investing in programs that have
measureable results in education, income, and health. This year, employees are
hosting exclusive fundraising events at each Telco branch throughout the month of
October. If you’ve missed the start of our events, be sure to catch some amazing baked
goods, jambalaya, and more!
• Popcorn Sale (Hammond) – Friday, October 11th
We are selling cookbooks, “Pots, Pans and
Pioneers,” at all branches for the AT&T Telecom
Pioneers Capitol Council. The proceeds from the
cookbook sales benefit many of the programs of
the Pioneers, including their annual school supply
drive and the Joann Buchana Memorial
Christmas Angels drive as well as many others.
The cookbooks, available in five volumes, feature
recipes from Pioneers in Louisiana. All five
volumes are priced at $12 a copy and can be
purchased at any Telco branch – a great
Christmas idea!
