DBU Presidential Search Committee Members Gayla Crain, chair Gayla Crain has spent more than 40 years as a trial lawyer, practicing labor and employment law for employers. She represents corporate clients, including non-profit and religious employers before courts, arbitration tribunals, and administrative agencies, and she is a frequent speaker and trainer on employment issues. Ms. Crain has served on the Board of Trustees of Dallas Baptist University for over 20 years and as its chairperson. Dr. Greg Ammons Dr. Greg Ammons serves as the Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Garland. Prior to serving in Garland, he was the Senior Pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Iowa Park, Texas, and Floyd Baptist Church near Greenville, Texas. He has taught as an adjunct instructor at DBU for eight years. He is the author of Now My Eye Sees You: What A Doctorate in Theology Did Not Teach Me About God, My Son Did. Mike Arnold Mike Arnold serves as President and CEO of Arnold Stone, Inc. He previously served as an attorney at Cowles and Thompson in Dallas. A 1995 DBU graduate, Mr. Arnold played on the DBU Patriot baseball team and was named the 2009 DBU Distinguished Alumnus of the Year. He has served on the DBU Board of Trustees for 13 years, twice as chair. Mr. Arnold is a member of Prestonwood North Baptist Church. Bertrain Bailey Rev. Bertrain Bailey serves as the Senior Pastor of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, where he has been ministering since 2007. A track star while at DBU, Rev. Bailey graduated in 2001 with a major in Biblical studies. He is a past member of the DBU Alumni Board and currently serves on the DBU Board of Trustees. Recently, Rev. Bailey was named as one of the top up-and-coming preachers under the age of 40 in America. Charlie Frazier Charlie Frazier is chair of the DBU Board of Trustees. He has served on the Board for over 20 years and has chaired it on two prior occasions. He is a partner in the appellate boutique firm of Alexander Dubose Jefferson & Townsend LLP, specializing in complex appellate litigation. Over the past 27 years, he has argued in numerous appellate courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States. Charlie is a member of Park Cities Baptist Church. Dr. Nancy McLaughlin Dr. Nancy McLaughlin is the current chair of the DBU Faculty Council, having served in that role since 2013. She is an assistant professor of education in the Gary Cook School of Leadership, and prior to her time at DBU, she worked in the Dallas Independent School District as a teacher and administrator, serving six years as principal of Woodrow Wilson High School.
