NEWSLETTER
Welcome to the month of May/Bienvenue au mois de mai. On May 7th,
the Kindergarten teachers and I will be welcoming the new Kindergarten
students and their parents at the annual Kindergarten orientation. It will
be wonderful event, where we meet and introduce ourselves to the new
children and their parents who will be joining us in September. I also
want to acknowledge and thank many of our Grade 5 students who have
volunteered to take these families on a school tour at the end of the
orientation. The Kindergarten teachers will also have an opportunity to
visit with the parents and share what September will look like for their
child. We are always so very proud of their ability to lead and share the
various activities that have occurred at Deep Cove School during their
educational journey. The month of May is also the transitional time for
our Grade 5 students who are moving into Middle School. The students
and teachers prepare a mini portfolio for each student, which is then
shared with the Grade 6 teachers. The students are also getting ready to
go the Camp Pringle and are eagerly awaiting a few of the year end
activities.
