Reducing material input As of now, our tool steels are also available in plate thicknesses – from 2 mm upwards. The plates are cross-rolled with very close tolerances. Their characteristics include a non-directional microstructure, almost no dimensional changes during hardening, and uniform mechanical/technological properties. We can supply plate material in the following forms: descaled, inert-gas annealed, sheared, sawn, straightened and, on request, shot-blasted.
