User Guide
Make and Receive Calls
To dial an external number, pick-up the receiver, press the speaker phone button or the line button,
if using a headset, you may press the above buttons and it will go to your headset automatically.
Dial the full number including area code, if it is an international number please remember to use the
country code.

Irish Telephone Number – 01 687 7735 #
International Telephone Number – 0044203445445 #
WHEN DIALLING A NUMBER PLEASE REMEMBER TO USE THE # BUTTON TO SEND, MUCH LIKE A
GREEN BUTTON ON A MOBILE PHONE – THIS INCLUDES CODES FOR PARKING AND RETREIVING
VOICEMAIL
When the phone is ringing you may use the same buttons or pick-up the receiver to answer the call.
If you are currently on a call and another one comes through for you, you may place the current call
on hold by pressing the hold button, you may proceed to answer the second call, a user may receive
up to 3 concurrent calls at any one time.
Voicemails
If you have a voicemail box assigned to you, this will be your extension number, from your telephone
you may dial your own extension, alternatively you may press the MESSAGE button on the desk
phone, enter your pin number and you have access to your voicemail.
You may also check your voicemail from any telephone on the system by dialling *97 # – Dial your
voicemail number and pin when prompted.
New users maybe prompted to setup your voicemail box, please follow the automated
instructions when you call voicemail for the first time.
Transferring Calls
To transfer a call that is currently on your telephone, press the TRANS button followed by the
number you wish to transfer it to, this may be an internal number such as 1002 or an external
number such as a third party company or mobile phone number. To complete the transfer either
wait for the dialled number to respond and inform them you are transferring and press TRANS to
complete, alternatively you may press TRANS directly after dialling the number.
Please note if you press the TRANS button immediately after dialling the extension or number as
cold transfer will take place, you will not be informing the other party the call is coming through.

Parking Lot
One of the great features of VoIP is being able to place callers in to a parking lot, this means they
stay on hold, however any user may dial in and retrieve the call.
To place a call into the parking lot, press TRANS and dial *3 # - You will be informed which spot that
call has been placed into, for example this could be 101
Inform other users where the call is – Dial in the parking lot number – For example 101 # and you
will retrieve the call.
Call Forwarding
To forward telephone calls whilst absent, each user may dial *72 # – When Prompted enter the
telephone number you wish to forward your calls to.
If you don’t wish to change the number next time, you may use *74 # to toggle ON/OFF the call
forwarding.
Conference Calls
If you wish to host a conference call on your telephone system you may do so by dialling in the
internal or external number assigned by your Digitel Account Manager, this plus your pin number
will grant you access.
Please share the external number only with joining participants, supply them with the password set
and you may host your conference call at your desired time.
International Telephone Numbers may be assigned to further reduce costs for those calling in to
your system (setup fees may apply)
