So if you use this report as a guide and then make sure you get a lot of practice you will up your game. We will also give you a few tips and tricks that you can use to up your skill in the game. The MAIN areas of the game that you need to have a good working knowledge of when playing online are: The Maps The Weapons The Skills We will be covering these 3 subjects in reverse order and also giving you resources that will help you even further. So let us start with a few general skills and how you can get better at the game fast: Read on below as we begin: The Skills It is annoying to play online and get destroyed time and time again but WHAT really makes a good player? Well MOST of it is down to a few skills you need and these come as you are playing the game. This part of the report will give you a few tips that you can use to make yourself a better player in the game. First off: Control: You need to be able to control yourself while playing online and to start off with you should check the menu and the sensitivity setting. Make sure you lower this so you are down near the lowest and then play and see if it is a little easier. As your control and reactions get better you can reset this higher. To actually compete you will need this set quite high but to start off with if you have it on low you will get more control which links to the next tip: Don’t Spray: One of the BIGGEST problems when you are playing online and trying to be a better player is spraying. This is when you shoot BEFORE you aim and it is quite a hard habit to get out of. Make sure when you see an enemy you aim first and then shoot. It can take a bit of practice but the best way is to start a game with your friends and practice on them. Even tell them you want to try a few things out and get them to be your guinea pig for a little while. If you get into the habit of aiming before you spray you will find your kill death ratio gets FAR better. This leads us on to our next tip: Fire in Bursts: Almost as bad as spray shooting is just holding your finger on the trigger and this way you will not be accurate at all! You need to make sure you fire in bursts and ideally you should aim for the top of the chest. This is because the recoil will cause your gun to spray upwards and you will get more head shots this way. Literally these 3 tips if you put them all into action will improve your game tenfold. Watch The Best: Another awesome tip is to start a match and if you find someone that is very good at the game make sure you follow them around and watch what they do you will get the best choke points and you can also see which are the best weapons for the game on that map. Reload: Another big tip that will help you when you are playing Black Ops 2 is to make sure that you reload A LOT. If you follow the previous tip that tells you to not spray you will conserve ammo anyway but another good idea is to make sure you are always reloaded. When you do this go prone or crouch. He’s Behind You: Most kills will happen from the enemy that you can’t see when they sneak up behind you so to avoid this make sure you check behind you a lot and also your peripheral vision in the game. Weapon Swap: Another good tactic that you can use is the weapon swap – if you DO end up running out of bullets you can quickly swap to your pistol which is quicker than reloading. You may also want to switch to your knife if they are running at you as most people you will be able to catch unawares with the knife. Know Thy Weapon: If you want to make the most of the game you will need to know about 2 things and that is the weapons and the maps. Literally if you had a good working knowledge of both of these plus you knew your weapons you would be doing very well online. You see there is an element of skill in the game, of course it is down to your reaction times a little but the main thing is that you know the maps and the weapons. The only way you get good with the weapons or create an awesome class is by practicing with the weapons a lot but that said some weapons will be better with some maps. If you are going into a close knit, small map you can use the SMG or if you have a wide open map as a rule you will use more snipers. But to go over a point made above you can watch the best players and of course it means getting killed more while you are learning but the quickest way to get better at the game is to learn from the best. Check The Corners: For a general tip with maps if you want to play better on a map that you don’t know and you are still trying to work out remember to check the corners. If you do this you will see people hiding and also the fact that you are starting from the edges of the maps means that no-one can get behind you. As you get better you can than branch out and start heading into the more open areas of the maps. Get XP Fast: You want to unlock everything fast as this will give you more options to soup up your player so we recommend to get that XP in fast play the team games like Capture the Flag because you will get loads of XP by actually completing the tasks as well as killing. If you don’t want to play team games alternate with Free for all as you don’t have to worry about whether or not they are on your team and you can just blast away. Now for some awesome multiplayer tips: These are for those of you that have literally bought the game and you are below level 10 and looking for a head start. When you start the game as you know you will start at level 1, no perks or anything. You have to use all of the default classes. Well if you want a head start you can start off at level 10, with your create a class unlocked and a ton of weapons unlocked as well! The KEY to a head start is play through combat training! Go to the Playlist Combat Training and then select Bootcamp. It is only available for players 1-10 but it gives you a ton of XP! BUT the thing is if you run through it first as soon as you start the game by the time you enter the multiplayer and are ready for the real deal you will be level 10 have a ton of stuff unlocked and also perks, weapon attachments and you can take advantage of earning the newbies that forgot to go through Bootcamp! Well worth doing! The other cool thing about doing that is none of your deaths or how badly you do will count on your stats when you go into the real multiplayer so you have an awesome head start! Now just a quick tip for those of you that are used to Black Ops and want to get the most out of Black Ops 2! The sensitivities have changed! Not changed in the sense that you can move any faster but instead of just going up to 10 they go up to 14. Now 14 is not quicker than 10 it just gives you more choice in-between. BUT if you are used to playing Call of Duty and you cannot get the sensitivity right due to the change I thought I would give you a quick guide that will help; Here are the sensitivity’s as they used to be and the equivalent setting for BO2: Old Call Of Duty Equivalent Setting On Black Ops 2 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 1 3 4 5 7 8 10 11 13 14 So all you need to do is look at the row on the left and see the sensitivity you used to use in old Call of Duty games. Then go to the equivalent setting on Black Ops 2. There you have more control over your weapon! Now let us move on to: How To Rank Up Fast In Black Ops 2: If you REALLY want to rank up fast these tips should help you out: If you want to get to Level 55 as fast as possible this is how to do it. This is going to be fairly general as the first tip but it will help a lot and as everyone is different there is no way to say EXACTLY what you should do! So to EVERYONE reading this that wants to level up faster you need to find YOUR game type. I know that is generic but once you do you will find a match that suits you as a player. In TDM you get 100 XP per kill. In Search And Destroy you get 500 XP per kill. You just need to move about and figure out which game type is best for you. As a rule if you die a lot start out with TDM as you can earn XP by being on the winning team and if you find that you can get a lot of kills Search and Destroy with the 500XP per kill might be for you. Another really good game type is Kill Confirmed as you get 100 XP per kill and then another 100 XP for picking up the tags! Well worth giving that one a go. Challenges: This is an awesome way to rank up very quickly with Black Ops 2. You will win some of these up as you go along but if you actually see which weapon you are using and aim to complete the challenges you will get an awesome burst of XP. A lot of the challenges will give you 5000, 10000 XP! So well worth going through the challenges. The one thing to remember with the challenges in BO2 is that a lot of them will not just happen. As in you will be leveling them as you are playing, most will require some thought on your part to actually use them. So you just need to look at your challenges and make an effort to earn them. One thing is for sure it is an awesome way to boost your level and XP! Of course in with the challenges but slightly different are: Weapon Challenges: These are awesome as they do happen in the background as you use weapons – which is why it is a good idea to swap your weapons a lot to make sure you get the most XP from each weapon where possible. Basically with every weapon once you get to a certain XP with the weapon you will unlock attachments that help you to become more deadly with the weapon and with EACH attachment comes some more challenges for some more XP. Prstige Your Weapons You want to aim to prestige your weapons when you get to level 55 and prestige you will get an option to reset your weapons and that helps you get more challenges and XP as you rank through prestige. Objectives Remember also to follow all objectives on the map that sounds pretty obvious like Capture the flag etc… but in BO2 you will get an after match report where you can earn medals and you will get more XP depending on how many medals you earn. For instance in Domination if you capture the “B” flag in the opening round you get the Opening Move medal. This one medal will give you 500 XP which is a ton of XP for doing what you are meant to be doing anyway! For instance if you did it twice in the next round you would get 1000XP just for winning those medals and capturing a flag! Another big tip is to: Take Out Enemy Air Support: This is more optional if you are good with the stinger as it will give you a few points every time you take out the enemy air support. So following the above you should be rolling in XP! Another HUGE tip is to call in the lower Kill Streaks like the UAV etc… as you get so many points from doing so. When you get good at the game and you want to start playing for massive kill streaks you can do so but to start off an awesome tactic is to call in the lower kill streaks. Now I want totalk about what I consider to be the best weapons so it will give you a head start. Best Weapons In COD BO2: If you want to use the best weapons in BO2 go for the SMG’s. The main reason for this is that Black Ops 2 is faster paced and you will have noticed that most of the maps are a little smaller. So the SMG’s will work well on most maps. The other reason is that the game seems intent on making you play the objective. Like capturing the flag and you get so much XP from doing so. SO you will be VERY close to the enemy as the objectives will attract a lot of attention so you want to go for the SMG’s for that reason. So go for the PDW or the MSMC if you want a head start! You will get the PDW at level 4 which you can use till you get the MSMC at level 28. One thing you will note between the two is the PDW gives you a whopping 50 bullets in its clip and 65 if you are using the extended mag. The MSMC only has 30 rounds and 40 when you put the extended mag on it. So quite a big deal there. If you are looking for a range advantage this will go to the MSMC. For attachments for these two go for the laser sight and you can also use the long barrel to increase the range of the guns. For the best Secondary Weapons check out: B23-R Or the KAP 40. The B23-R is very good for burst firing and is quite powerful. The KAP-40 is a fully automatic pistol which is fairly decent. You will unlock the B23R at level 19 and the KAP 40 at level 43. Now we have looked at how you can get an advantage another thing you can do if you are playing the console version. How To Get The Edge With Consoles: Xbox 360: Without a doubt if you want to get the edge with the Xbox 360 you need to be able to hook your mouse and keyboard up to the console. Think about it: When you play and try and kill people with the analog sticks it takes you ages, even if you are a good player. Now think about how fast you use the mouse to point on your PC. Imagine being able to just point and shoot! This is not a cheat so much as an advantage. To do this you need a special adapter.
