Announcement Invitation to Join July 2nd or July 7th, 2015 College of Direct Support (CDS) Stakeholder Call ODP Communication Number: Announcement 045-15 The mission of the Office of Developmental Programs is to support Pennsylvanians with developmental disabilities to achieve greater independence, choice and opportunity in their lives. AUDIENCE: All Stakeholders PURPOSE: The Office of Developmental Programs will be facilitating two webinars July 2 and July 7 to discuss the College of Direct Support (CDS) as one of our training resources. DISCUSSION: Please choose one or both of these dates to join us for a Maestro conference call to discuss the use of the College of Direct Support curriculum by providers throughout Pennsylvania. The College of Direct Support has provided a valuable training resource for Pennsylvania in the past and ODP would like to ensure its continuing availability. There has been decreased usage across Pennsylvania of this resource over the last two years. ODP is reaching out to self-advocates, families, counties, supports coordination organizations, direct service providers and other interested parties to discuss the future of the College of Direct Support usage in Pennsylvania. We are asking for your participation and input through a conference call July 2, July 7 or both. During the calls we want to hear from you about the challenges and advantages in using the College of Direct Support. We are also soliciting input on how to improve the participation rate in Pennsylvania. Please join us for one or both calls to help us chart the future role of CDS in Pennsylvania.
