Our cruise departs from exciting New York City! In Port Lunch: Central Park Hot Dogs & pretzels. Today we will make a cruise passport for the week showing all the countries we will visit. Snack: Big Apples. Carnival at Sea: As we head to our first port, onboard entertainment begins with carnival games and fun at Chuck E. Cheese!!! Bus departs @10:15 am and returns @ 3:30 pm. We are kicking off this cruise with arcade games and pizza for lunch. Come dance and sing with your cruise director, Mr. Chuckie, and win extra tickets for cool prizes. TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY Canada: Get your Activity Passport stamped at the “Pass the Snowball” game (sock ball relays) @ Gahagan Park. Then head to Dairy Queen to enjoy a frozen dessert. Bus departs @ 10:00am & returns @ 3:00pm. Snack: Cheddar Whales. PM Activity: whale watching binoculars. Brazil: Enjoy the exciting music of our neighbors below the equator. Onboard entertainment is Capoeira Dance Show. We will enjoy a picnic and play in the sprinklers at Wannamaker Park after the show. Bus departs at 9:15 and returns at 3:30. Hawaii: As we make a final stop before we reach the mainland, we celebrate the cultures we encountered during Cruise Week. Make your favorite flag of the world. MONDAY Let’s explore all the mysteries under the sea! Bring an empty water bottle to make a goldfish aquarium. Throw in a few sweet sea creatures and seashells for good luck on our journey. Maybe you’ll win our game of Minnow, Minnow, Shark. Lunch today is Submarine wraps and carrot chip portholes. We celebrate Dr. Seuss’s classic fish book and eat WG Goldfish crackers for snack. We’re off for a water adventure @ Isle of Palms County Park. Can you count the big waves? Bus departs at 9:30 and returns at 4:00. PM Activity: Team up for some beach towel volleyball. Bring your bathing suit, sunscreen, & lunch! Octopus arms are the snack of the day! TUESDAY WEDNESDAY Come explore sea life at the SC Aquarium! Bus departs 9:30 and returns at 3:30. We journey under the sea and through exotic lands exploring the animals and habitats of the oceans. Back at camp, let’s play Crab Soccer. For today’s snack, we will build our own coral reefs. At craft time, we will make our own puffer fish from the Pout Pout book series. THURSDAY “Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?” We can find out at Cinemark Movies 8 in Ladson. Let’s SEA a movie! Bus departs 11:00 am and returns 3:30pm. Let’s snack on some puffer fish popcorn and enjoy the show! Bring your lunch. FRIDAY As we resurface at Camp, we make a Memory journal to remember all our favorite times at Sea this week. Play a game of Sea Spy and make a sea life poster to take home. MONDAY Ahoy, Mates! Welcome to Pirate Week! Today’s activity: Make your own Pirate Flag. Fly your colors around Camp to see who is the most fearsome Pirate! Lunch is Corn Planks & Cannons (Corndogs & cheese sticks). Snack for today is Pirate Swords (celery sticks) with dip. Let’s all walk the plank & cool off @ Splash Island in Mt. Pleasant. Bus departs @ 9:30 am & returns @ 3:30pm. Bring a bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, & lunch! Afternoon snack: colorful Ocean Waves. Activity: decorate your own pirate hat. TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY Continue your search for treasure downtown @ the Provost Dungeon. Learn about REAL Pirates from Charleston’s past and maybe see a few scurvy mates still lurking around in the dungeon…. Bus departs @ 9am & returns @ 3pm. Bring your lunch for a pirate picnic in Waterfront Park! Make your own Pirate to hang in your Captain’s Quarters. Pirate GOLD is our snack today. Today, we journey across the sea to Wannamaker Park for the Pirate Stories show. Hear the tales of the most infamous Pirates from the Lowcountry. Bus departs at 9:15 and returns at 3:30. We will visit the sprinklers after the show, so bring your bathing suits! Snack today is Polly wants a Cheese & Crackers! Finish the week with a big AAARRRGGHHH!! We will make our own treasure maps this morning & participate in a Treasure Hunt around camp in the afternoon. Remember, “X” marks the spot! MONDAY Celebrate Disney’s Dog Days with 101 Dalmatians and Lady & the Tramp books. Craft: Making dog bones and collars. Lunch: Hot Dogs in a blanket and puppy-sauce. PM activity: 101 Dalmatian Scavenger Hunt. PM Snack: Dalmatian dots and dog bones (celery w/ raisins and cream cheese). We will accept donations of pet food/care items to take to the SPCA on Wednesday. TUESDAY Practice your water dog skills at Whirlin Waters at Wannamaker Park. Slide, play in the sprinklers, and don’t forget money for some Scooby Snacks. We will have lots of fun in the sun today, so don’t forget your bathing suit & sunscreen! We will find them today as we tour the SPCA in Goose Creek to see how the pets get care and new homes at the animal shelter. Bus leaves at 9:30am and returns at 3:30pm. We will tour the facility and see how they care for these wonderful animals. Enjoy a puppy picnic lunch at the – Santee Canal Park. “Chew toys” are snack today! MONDAY Big Top Monday. Today we celebrate as the circus comes to town! AM craft: Be "King or Queen of the Carnival" and make your own medals. Lunch: Weenie Dog Racers and caramel apples. PM Snack: big top tents (triangle crackers & cheese). PM activity: Sideshow Sally’s circus tattoos and carnival magnetic scenes. TUESDAY Let’s create our own circus! Start with a trip to Chuck E Cheese! Enjoy video games, skeeball, and more! Bus departs @10:15 am and returns @3:30 pm. Snack: Clown hats. PM activity: make your own roller coasters. THURSDAY We participate in an amazing Big Top Performance of Magic by Chaz @ Wannamaker Park! See him perform wondrous tricks, then take a dip in the sprinklers. Before we disappear, we will enjoy some time at Wannamaker’s children’s park, too! Bus departs at 9:15 and returns at 3:30. Snack: carnival balls. SEUSS BOOK WEEK! MONDAY This week, we celebrate the imaginative writing of Dr. Seuss. Bring your favorite Dr. Seuss book to share during our morning reading time. Craft: Make tiny truffula trees. Lunch: Pinwheel sandwiches and broccoli trees. PM activity: squiggle dancing. Snack: loopy O’s and mustache milk. TUESDAY Listen to the Lorax as he educates us on taking care of our environment. We will take a trip to Splash Zone on James Island. Let’s picnic by the water and search for water birds and alligators in their natural environment. Bus departs @ 9:30 & returns @ 4:00pm. Snack: Lorax Snacks. WEDNESDAY “Will you eat Green Eggs and Ham? Will you eat them Sam I Am?” We accept Dr. Seuss’s challenge as sample bacon & egg fried rice at WASABI Restaurant in Summerville. MONDAY This summer, we had a whale of a time at camp. This week we will celebrate our best trips and camp memories. Lunch will be submarine wraps & banana porpoises. Craft: Stuffed paper whales. Snack will be an ocean of milk with a mini life preservers! TUESDAY Come have a splashing good time at Charleston Riverdogs’ Big Splash Day. Wear your bathing suits because you’re sure to get wet! Enjoy sprinklers, water balloons, and MORE! Don’t forget bathing suit, sunscreen, and a dry change of clothes. WEDNESDAY Let’s whale watch at Mt. Pleasant Pier Park. We will tour Channel 2 News Studio and see how the weather forecast helps our local fishermen. Bus departs @ 9:00am & returns @ 3:00 pm. $ is optional for concessions. Craft: Tiki Pier signs. Snack: Octopus crackers. THURSDAY Relive our Lowcountry history with Gullah Storytelling @ Wannamaker Park. Learn the local traditions of some of Charleston’s earliest settlers. We will enjoy a day of fun in the sun at the Sprinklers after the show. Bus departs at 9:15 and returns at 3:30. Wear your swimsuit, change of clothes, sunscreen & a towel!! Don’t forget your lunch! Craft: Whale mosaic. Snack: Ocean yogurt. FRIDAY As we send our whale back to sea, we will splash into a new school year. Lunch: pizza porpoises! Crafts: Paper plate whales and Ocean mobiles.
