Soaring Star’s Summer Camp
Let’s get this camp started!!
Week One
Monday, June 8: Let’s get this camp started with a treasure hunt. Meet your new friends and
look for treasures. Lunch: Gather around the crafted fire as we enjoy hamburgers, chips and
juice. Our afternoon craft and snack will be making s’mores.
Tuesday, June 9: Who is ready for fun in the sun? We are off to Whirlin Waters. Bus departs
@10:00 a.m. & returns @ 4:00 p.m. Please wear your swimsuit, camp shirt, sunscreen and
bring a bag lunch, towel and change of clothes. Optional $$. Join us back at camp for stories by
the fire. This is sure to be an exciting, sun-filled, fun-filled day.
Wednesday, June 10: Let’s take a trip to The Fireman’s Museum. Bus departs @ 9:00 a.m. &
returns @ 1:30 p.m. Optional $$ for souvenirs from the gift shop. Wii games are on the
afternoon agenda. Snack: Chips and juice. Don’t forget to bring a bag lunch.
Thursday, June 11: Today, we are off to Wannamaker Park for the Capoeira of Charleston
show and Sprinklers Bus departs @ 9:00 a.m. and returns @ 3:00 p.m. Wear swim suit,
sunscreen and bring a bag lunch, towel and change of clothes.
Friday, June 12: FUN FRIDAY!! Today will be a fun-filled day at camp. Join us as we grill
hotdogs on the fire. Our craft will be creating birdhouses from recycled materials. We will enjoy
the great outdoors with kickball, hula hoop contest and relay races. Snack: Ice cream social.

Treasure Hunters Week
Week Two
Monday, June 15: Welcome to treasure hunters week where you are sure to find lots of fun and
special treasures. Today our craft will be making a treasure map to use on our afternoon
treasure hunt. For lunch we will have GOLDEN chicken nuggets, salad and rolls. Snack on carrot
coins and cheese sticks.
Tuesday, June 16: Let’s start our treasure hunt with a trip to Black Beard’s Cove Mt Pleasant.
Bus departs @10:00 a.m. & returns @ 4:00 p.m. We will putt-putt, play games, jump in Jump
Land and enjoy a picnic lunch. $$$$ optional for games and concessions. Please wear sunscreen
and bring a bag lunch.
Wednesday, June 17: Today we are off to Gahagan Park and Sonic. Bus departs @ 10:00 a.m.
& returns @ 3:00 p.m. We will enjoy free play in the park and a picnic lunch. On the way back
to camp, we will stop in Sonic for a special treat to cool off. Please wear sunscreen and bring a
bag lunch.
Thursday, June 18: Let’s continue our treasure hunt at Bee City. Bus departs @ 10:00 a.m. &
returns @ 4:00 p.m. We will take a walk through the petting zoo, visit the nature center and
learn the importance of honeybees. Optional $$ for souvenirs and refreshments. Wear sunscreen
and bring a bag lunch. Back at camp we will enjoy ice cream sandwiches.
Friday, June 19: Fun Friday! Enjoy a special water treat with North Charleston Fire Department.
We will have a water balloon toss, sprinklers, relay races and much more. Lunch today will be
PIRATE pizza. Our afternoon snack is a sure treasure: Create your own pancake designs. Please
wear your swimsuit and sunscreen. Bring a change of clothes and towel.

Fiesta Frenzy Week
Week Three
Monday, June 22: Let’s get our week started with a FIESTA. For lunch we will have tacos and
cactus juice. Our afternoon snack will be chips and dip. Join us for a festive craft of creating our
very own piñatas.
Tuesday, June 23: Let’s take our fiesta to Splash Zone Mt Pleasant .Bus departs @ 10:00 a.m. &
returns @ 4:00 p.m. Please wear your swimsuit and sunscreen. Make sure to bring towel, bag
lunch and a change of clothes. $$$ Optional. Back at camp we will enjoy a refreshing snow
cone.
Wednesday, June 24: Today our fiesta takes us to Azalea Square Regal Cinemas to catch the
movie Turbo. Bus departs @ 9:00 a.m. & returns at 1:00 p.m. Please bring a bag lunch. $$$
Optional. Back at camp we will enjoy a festive time outside with lots of games and free play.
Thursday, June 25: A camper’s favorite Chuck E. Cheese’s N Charleston. Optional $$ for
concessions and games. Bus departs @ 10:00 a.m. and returns @ 3:00 p.m. Craft: Create your
own paper plate maraca. Snack, Mexican chocolate cake.
Friday, June 26: Fiesta Fun Friday!!! Join us as we end our fiesta frenzy week. Today we will
have chili pepper relays, pin the flower on the cactus and much more. Our lunch will be Mexican
lasagna and salad. Snack: Cinnamon sugar churros . Craft: fiesta paper flowers.

Island Explorers
Week Four
Monday, June 29: Are you ready for some Island fun? Join us as we explore different islands
this week. We will start the week off with a bottle fish craft. Our lunch will be island burgers
with all the fixings. Tropical pineapple and gold fish.
Tuesday, June 30: Our first island to explore is SPLASH ISLAND Mt Pleasant. Bus departs @
10:00 a.m. & returns @ 4:00 pm. Wear your swimsuit, sunscreen and camp shirt. Don’t forget
your lunch, towel and change of clothes. Optional $$ for concessions. Feeling a little hungry after
all that fun in the sun? Back @ the camp we will have tropical frozen treats.
Wednesday, July 1: Enjoy the great outdoors today at Old Santee Canal State Park. Optional $$
for concessions and gift shop. Bus departs @ 10:00 a.m. & returns @ 4:00 p.m. Wear your trail
shoes as we explore the boardwalks through the back waters and swamp. We will also tour the
Interpretive Center, explore the animal exhibits and watch a movie on the history of the canal.
Bring your lunch.
Thursday, July 2: Today we are off to explore Beidler Forest and Mrs. Bishop’s Farm. We will take
a tour through the forest and learn about the animals around. Also, we will stop by and meet
Lady Bug, Mrs. Bishop’s horse. Bus departs @ 10:00 a.m. & returns @4:00 p.m. Back @ camp
we will have fun with bubbles & make palm trees. Afternoon snack will be trail mix.
Friday, July 3: Today is the final day of Island Explorers week. Are you ready to explore Windsor
Island? We will have lots of water fun today. Make sure to wear your swimsuits, sunscreen and
bring a towel and change of clothes. Our craft will be creating a luau wind sock.
Lunch: Hawaiian Pizza and tropical fruit punch.

Outdoor Adventure Week
Week Five
Monday, July 13: The adventures of the great outdoors. Let’s set up camp and take a nature
walk today. We will pack a picnic lunch (ham sandwiches) for the trip. After our return, we will
create & eat a “dirt” pie, maybe even a worm or two. Wii games are in t he mix.
Tuesday, July 14: Today our outdoor adventure takes us to Splash Zone James Island Bus
departs @ 10:00 a.m. and returns @ 4:00 p.m. Optional $$ for concessions. Wear your
swimsuit, sunscreen and camp shirt. Bring your towel, lunch and a change of clothes. Upon
return to camp we will enjoy a cool ice cream cup.
Wednesday, July 15: We planned a trip to Mt Pleasant Waterfront Park for Splash Day! Bus
departs @ 9:00 a.m. & returns @ 4:00 p.m. Don’t forget to wear your swimsuit and sunscreen.
Bring your towel, lunch and change of clothes. Optional: $$ for concessions.
Thursday, July 16: Show off your bowling skill @ Sandpiper Bowling Lanes. Don’t forget your
socks & sneakers. Optional $$ for concessions & games. We will enjoy a picnic lunch @ Wescott
Pk. Don’t forget your sunscreen. Bus departs @12:00 p.m. & returns @ 4:00 p.m.
Back @ camp we will decorate cupcakes.
Friday, July 17: The final day of Outdoor Adventure week!!!! Wear your swimsuit today as we
will enjoy water games in the great outdoors. We will enjoy an outdoor cookout of hot dogs and
later snack on cool refreshing watermelon. Our craft today will be sun catchers.

Sun Sand and Surf Week
Week Six
Monday, July 20: Sand and surf week. Start this week by making jumping jellyfish. We will
have a crab crawl, play go fish and much more. Lunch will be Fish and chips with sunny D juice.
Enjoy pecan sandies & milk for snack. Afternoon movie: SpongeBob Square Pants Sponge out
of Water
Tuesday, July 21: We will enjoy the Sun, sand and surf today as we board The Spirit Line Cruise
to Fort Sumter. Bus departs @ 9:00 a.m. & returns @ 4:00 p.m. Wear your, sunscreen. Optional
$$ for concessions. Don’t forget your lunch as we will picnic in the park at Mt Pleasant
Waterfront Park. Our snack will be fruit popsicles.
Wednesday, July 22: Let’s spend the day @ Charleston Museum where we will enjoy
educational & historical artifacts. Then when we leave we will go enjoy some fun in the sun and
cool down @ the Water Front Park Sprinklers. Wear swimsuit & bring towel & sunscreen.
Optional $$ for Gift Shop & ice cream. Bus departs @9:00 a.m. and returns @ 4:00 p.m.
Thursday, July 23: Enjoy the sun and sand at Wannamaker Park for the Turtle Show and
Sprinklers. Bus departs @ 9:30 a.m. & returns @ 4:00 p.m. Wear swimsuit, sunscreen, bring
towel & lunch. Optional $$ for concessions. Games and free play in the park. We will enjoy a
refreshing slushy at Sonic on the way back to camp.
Friday, July 24: Fun Friday in the sun with N Charleston Fire Department. Bring swimsuit,
sunscreen, towel and change of clothes. We will play beach volley ball, surf board limbo and
beach ball relays. Lunch: Sandwiches, chips & milk. Craft and snack: Create your own ice
cream sundae.

We are Family Week
Week Seven
Monday, July 27 We are family! This is our last week and we want it to be a blast. Let’s start
with a dance party and later order Pizza. We will have a scavenger hunt and face painting. Our
afternoon snack will be fruit smoothies and fresh baked cookies. Craft: Creating picture frames
for our FAMILY portrait.
Tuesday, July 28 Today we are going to do what families do best at Whirling Water in
Wannamaker Park. “HAVE FUN” Bus departs @ 9:00 and returns @ 4:00 p.m. Optional: $$ for
concessions. Wear your swimsuit, sunscreen and camp shirt. Bring your lunch, towel and
change of clothes. Back at camp we will enjoy a family cake walk.
Wednesday, July 29 Let’s spend a little FAMILY time together while bowling at Sandpiper Lanes.
Bus departs @ 10:00 a.m. and returns @ 3:00 p.m. Optional $$ for Concession. We will picnic
in Wescott Park. Enjoy making wind socks and playing Wii games. Snack: peaches and cream.
Thursday, July 30 A walk through the garden with our FAMILY at Cypress Gardens. Bus
departs @10:00 and returns @ 4:00 p.m. Wear sunscreen and bring your lunch. We will tour the
swamp, Butterfly House, Heritage Room and go on a nature trail. $$$ Optional for concessions
and gift shop.
Friday, July 31 Today is our farewell celebration. We will take family portraits for our frames,
have a dance party, games, movies, contest and prizes. Lot’s of prizes! Lunch: Family cookout
and picnic. Hamburgers, chips and tea. Our snack today will be cake and ice cream. As we
gather by the campfire one last time, we will share stories of the past 7 weeks.
