Audition Information - Summerville High School

Summerville Color Guard Auditions
The Color Guard audition will include evaluation in dance and equipment skills. The primary
consideration during the auditions will be an individual's attitude and ability to learn quickly and
perform confidently. Since 2001, the Summerville Varsity Guard has won every State
Championship contest they’ve attended, taking a hiatus to attend Prom in 2007 and 2010. In
addition to their multiple local, 16 state titles, 7 Carolina Winter Ensemble Association
Championship titles, the Summerville Color Guard is a 18 time Winter Guard International
Regional Finalist in Atlanta, GA, Richmond, VA, Miami and Fort Lauderdale, FL. They are also 5
time Winter Guard International World Championship Semi-finalists and 2010 World
Championship Finalists. The Summerville Color Guard is one of only TWO High School Color
Guards in the state of South Carolina to have ever made it to the semi-finals round in Open Class
competition at the World Championships!
