DORSET GOLF CLUB (Inc.)
Championships
The Dorset Golf Club provides golf activities
for all members, (Men, Women and Junior’s)
regardless of age, skill level or physical ability.
Members have the opportunity to play in
Club Championship events throughout the
year. There are Stroke, Stableford, Par and
Teams events available.
Beginners are Welcome
The Club has been playing competition and
social Golf at the Dorset Community Golf
Course, Trawalla Rd. Croydon, since it’s
foundation in 1984. The Club is affiliated
with: the Victorian Golf League (V.G.L.), the
Victorian Golf Association (V.G.A.) and the
Australian Golf Union (A.G.U.) for the MEN
and the Victorian Women’s Golf League
(V.W.G.L.) and Women’s Golf Australia
(W.G.A.) for the LADIES.
Competitions
The Club plays competition and social golf 52
weeks of the year; competitions include a
number of mixed events. Competitions are
played on Tuesday (Men & Ladies), Friday
(Seniors & Ladies), Saturday (Men & Ladies)
and Sunday (Men). Most of the social golf
activities are arranged for Public Holidays.
During the months of summer the Club plays a
mixed twilight competition (Chook Run) on
Wednesdays. Competition Fees apply for
entry to any Club competitions. These range
between $3.00 and $5.00 per round of golf.
Club members travel to other courses to play
in the V.G.L. (Men) and V.W.G.L. (Women)
Pennant competitions.
Club Liquor License
The Club has a Restricted Club Liquor
License, with the facilities open to members
on a limited basis.

through the A.G.U. & W.G.A. by way of the
Golflink Handicapping System. Handicaps
are recognised throughout Australia.

Green Fees
Green Fees are additional to membership and
competition fees.
Maroondah Council has Leisure Centre
membership available that replaces Green
Fees and provides access to additional
Facilities owned/run by the Council.
