Official Sweepstakes Rules
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS
SWEEPSTAKES. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF
WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. THE 2014 NEW ENGLAND FORD
DEALERS BOSTON CELTICS SEASON TICKETS SWEEPSTAKES (“SWEEPSTAKES”)
WILL BEGIN ON JANUARY 31, 2014 AT 12:00 PM ET AND END ON FEBRUARY 28, 2014 AT
11:59 PM ET (“SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD”). ALL TIMES IN THE SWEEPSTAKES REFER TO
EASTERN TIME (“ET”). ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND UPON THE NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE
ENTRIES (AS DEFINED BELOW) RECEIVED. SWEEPSTAKES IS SUBJEST TO ALL
APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS. PRIZE DOES NOT INCLUDE
TRANSPORTATION OR ACCOMMODATION.
1.
SWEEPSTAKES OVERVIEW: To enter this Sweepstakes, you must complete a Sweepstakes
entry form on www.NewEnglandFord.com. The Sweepstakes entry form requires you to provide your
complete name, address, city, state, zip code, contact phone number and email address. Only one (1)
individual grand prize winner will be selected (the “Grand Prize Winner”) at the conclusion of the
Sweepstakes Period. The odds of winning this Sweepstakes depends on the actual number of Eligible
Entries (as hereinafter defined) received. By entering this Sweepstakes, entrant accepts and agrees to be
bound by these Official Rules. Any violation of these rules may, at Sponsor’s discretion, result in
disqualification. All decisions of the Sponsors and Administrator regarding this Sweepstakes are final and
binding in all respects.
2.
ENTRY PERIOD: The “2014 New England Ford Dealers - Boston Celtics Season Tickets
Sweepstakes” (the “Sweepstakes”) begins at 12:00:00 PM (ET) on Friday, January 31, 2014 and ends at
11:59:00 PM (ET) on Friday, February 28, 2014 (“Sweepstakes Period”). All entries must be received by
11:59:00 PM (ET) on Friday, February 28, 2014 to be eligible. Any entries received outside of the
Sweepstakes Period will be considered Null and Void. Administrator is the official timekeeper of the
sweepstakes.
3.
ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open only to individual, legal residents of Maine, Vermont,
New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut (only legal residents of the counties of
Hartford, Middlesex, New London, Tolland or Windham, Connecticut) and New York (only legal
residents of the counties of Franklin, Clinton and Essex, New York) who are eighteen (18) years of age or
older at the time of entry. Employees and immediate family members (i.e. parents, spouses, siblings,
children, grandparents, step parents, step children, step siblings and their respective spouses and
household members of each such employee) of Team Detroit, Retail First, Ford Motor Company, Ford
and Lincoln Authorized Dealerships, the Boston Celtics Organization, the National Basketball
Association and Strategic Brand Solutions, LLC and each of their respective parent companies, affiliated
companies, subsidiaries, sponsors, advertising agencies and third party fulfillment agencies and their
respective agents, employees, officers, directors, successors and assigns (collectively the “Sweepstakes
Entities”) are not eligible to enter this Sweepstakes. By entering in this Sweepstakes, entrants: (a) agree
to be bound by these Official Rules and the interpretations of these Official Rules by the Sweepstakes
Entities, which are final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes; (b) release and hold harmless the
Sweepstakes Entities against any and all claims, injury or damage arising out of or relating to
participation in the Sweepstakes and/or use or misuse or redemption of a Grand Prize (as Hereafter
defined); and (c) acknowledge compliance with these Official Rules. Void where prohibited or otherwise
restricted by law. All federal, state, and local laws apply. This sweepstakes is void outside of the
following: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut (counties of
Hartford, Middlesex, New London, Tolland and Windham) and New York (counties of Franklin, Clinton
and Essex) or where prohibited by law.
4.
HOW TO ENTER: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:00 PM (EST) on Friday, January 31, 2014
and ends at 11:59:00 PM (EST) on Friday, February 28, 2014 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). To enter the
sweepstakes complete an online entry form during the Sweepstakes Period at
www.NewEnglandFord.com. The Sweepstakes online entry form requires entrants to provide their
complete name, complete address, including street address, city, state and postal zip code, contact
telephone number and email address. Eligible entrants may submit one entry during the Sweepstakes
period. Multiple entries made by same person shall not be counted. Entries that are incomplete are void.
Entries become the property of the Sponsor, will not be returned and are subject to the respective Privacy
Policy of the Sponsor. Use of any automated software for online entry is prohibited. Entries made by the
same person with multiple email addresses, under multiple identities or through the use of any agent or
other device to enter multiple times, will be deemed invalid. No mechanically reproduced entries,
alterations, facsimiles or forged entries permitted. Administrator has the right to determine which entries
are eligible based on the above.
5.
AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES: Participation and entry in the Sweepstakes constitutes
entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules. Winning a prize is
contingent upon fulfilling all requirements described in these Official Rules. Noncompliance with any of
these Official Rules may result in disqualification. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICAL RULES
BY THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER OR ANY BEHAVIOR BY THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER THAT
WILL BRING SUCH GRAND PRIZE WINNER INTO DISREPUTE (IN SWEEPSTAKES ENTITIES’
SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN SUCH GRAND PRIZE WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION
AS THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES AND ALL PRIVILEDGES AS THE
WINNER WE BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.
6.
ODDS OF WINNING: The odds of winning this Sweepstakes depend on the total number of
eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. Final winning odds will NOT be posted or
published.
7.
PRIZES (GRAND PRIZE): There will be a single Grand Prize Winner selected who shall
receive two (2) complete season tickets, in the Loge section, to all 2014-2015 Boston Celtics (NBA)
regular season home games with an Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of $9,000. Winner is responsible
for all taxes (federal, state and/or local) and any other expenses not listed, which relate to acceptance and
use of prize. Game dates and seating assignments are subject to availability and could change at
Sponsor’s sole discretion. Transportation, accommodations, meals, gratuities and all other expenses not
specified herein are winner's responsibility. No cash or other substitution may be made, except by
Sponsor, who reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize with another prize of
comparable or greater value. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible if potential Grand Prize Winner is
unable or unavailable to accept prize. Grand Prize Winner must also complete any additional legal
documents provided by Administrator (or third party on its behalf, if applicable) with respect to the Grand
Prize and return them as instructed within the timeframe specified on the documents or Grand Prize
Winner may forfeit the Grand Prize at Sponsor’s sole discretion. All decisions of Sponsor relating to this
Sweepstakes are final. Sponsor expressly reserves the right to delay the announcement of the Grand Prize
Winner for creative or technical reasons or for any other reason Sweepstakes Entities deem necessary.
Winner and Winner’s guests will be responsible for any/all transportation to/from the designated games.
Season tickets are for 2014-2015 regular season games only. Post-season games, if any, will not be
included. In the event any designated game is postponed and rescheduled, tickets to the rescheduled game
will be awarded. In the event a game is postponed and not rescheduled or otherwise cancelled, no
compensation or substitution for such portion of the prize will be provided; however, the remainder of
prize package will be awarded and Sponsor will have no further obligation to winner. All costs and
expenses associated with the acceptance and use of the prize not specified herein as being awarded,
including, but not limited to, all federal, state and local taxes, any transportation, hotel accommodations,
if any, food, beverages, souvenirs, gratuities, and other miscellaneous expenses are winner’s sole
responsibility. Tickets are subject to terms and conditions specified therein. Exact seat locations to be
determined solely by Sponsor. Winner and guest agree to comply with all game and venue rules and
regulations and, in accordance therewith, agree not to act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or
with any intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at any designated game. Winner and
guest will be escorted out of venue by Sponsor or its designated agent(s) for improper conduct and/or
violation of federal, state or local laws (including, but not limited to, the unlawful possession, use, or
distribution of illicit drugs, unlawful drug paraphernalia, and alcohol), as Sponsor determines in its sole
discretion, and will forfeit the balance of his/her prize and may not be permitted to attend future games.
Unused tickets cannot be refunded, exchanged or applied towards tickets for any subsequent games. If
unused, tickets cannot be returned, refunded or exchanged for cash value or substitute tickets. All prize
details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Other than the details of the Grand Prize outlined above, Released
Parties have no additional obligations or commitments to the Grand Prize winner or his/her guests in
connection with this Sweepstakes.
The ARV of the Grand Prize is $9,000 (US dollars). The ARV is subject to change based on current
market conditions at time of Grand Prize fulfillment. Any difference between the ARVs and the actual
value, if any, will not be awarded.
8.
PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: Prizes are non-transferable and no cash redemption or prize
substitution is permitted. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute a prize with one of
comparable or greater value for any reason, including but not limited to the delay, postponement, or
cancellation of any basketball games. Federal, state, and local taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of
the winners. Winners of prizes valued at $600 or more will be issued an IRS Form 1099 for the ARV of
the prize. Winners agree that game admission is awarded pursuant to a revocable, nontransferable license
that is personal to that applicable winner, and may not be sold, resold, auctioned, bartered, assigned,
exchanged, placed in commerce, transferred, given away, donated or otherwise conveyed. Winners agree
that game admission is subject to the terms and conditions of the Boston Celtics, agree to comply with
such terms and conditions, and agree that admission (of winner and/or any of his/her guests) to any game
event may be denied or revoked if winner or his/her guest(s) fails or refuses to comply with such terms
and conditions. The grand prize winner and his or her guests must act in compliance with all of the
Boston Celtics rules and standards for game attendees. Failure to comply with any of the Boston Celtics
rules and standards may result in disqualification of winner at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Limit one
(1) Grand Prize winner.
9.
PRIZE WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: The winning entrant (potential
Grand Prize Winner) will be selected at random on or about March 3, 2014 (the “Drawing Date”) from all
eligible entries received during the sweepstakes period by Administrator, an independent judging
organization. The selected potential winner will be notified immediately by email, phone, or other
electronic means, at Administrator and Sponsor's sole discretion. Administrator will make up to two (2)
attempts over the 48 hour period following the Grand Prize Winner's selection to contact the potential
Grand Prize Winner via the contact information provided on entrant’s entry form. If a potential Grand
Prize Winner cannot be reached during the 48 hour period in which entrant is contacted (no messages will
be left on answering machines or voicemail systems) the potential Grand Prize Winner will be
disqualified and an alternate Grand Prize Winner will be selected from among the remaining applicable
Eligible Entries received, if time permits. Any potential Grand Prize Winner is not a winner until all
required documentation, including, but not limited to an Affidavit of Eligibility, Publicity Release and
Liability Release is received by Administrator and their eligibility has been verified. Such documents
must be signed and returned by the date and/or time indicated within such documents. If the potential
winner refuses the prize or the required documentation is returned as undeliverable, such potential winner
forfeits all the rights to win the Sweepstakes or receive the Grand Prize, and an alternate potential Grand
Prize Winner may be selected. All decisions of Sponsor and/or judges shall be binding and final. If the
properly executed documentation is not received within the specified time period, the selected entrant
chooses to decline the prize for any reason, or fails to comply with these Official Rules, the selected
entrant will be disqualified and another eligible entrant may be selected. Sponsor reserves the right to
modify the notification procedures in connection with the selection of the alternate Sweepstakes
entrant(s), if any.
The Grand Prize Winner will also receive two (2) tickets and invited to the Friday, March 14, 2014 (Ford
Day) Boston Celtics home game at TD Garden Arena, where the announcement of the Grand Prize
Winner will be made during halftime on Comcast SportsNetwork New England’s telecast. Grand Prize
Winner will take actual delivery of Grand Prize (as defined above) in October 2014 when Season Tickets
are scheduled to be distributed by the Boston Celtics. Actual Grand Prize delivery date will be arranged
once the Boston Celtics Season Tickets are made available for distribution.
10.
GENERAL PRIZE TERMS: Arrangements for fulfillment of the Grand Prize will be made by
Sponsor or Administrator. All costs and expenses not specifically listed above are solely Grand Prize
Winner's responsibility. The value of the Grand Prize will be taxable to the Grand Prize Winner as
income. Grand Prize Winner will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s
full Social Security Number for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more. An IRS Form 1099 will be
issued in the name of Grand Prize Winner for the actual value of the Grand Prize received. Upon entry
into this Sweepstakes, Grand Prize Winner is required to comply with any and all applicable federal,
state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. All federal, state and local taxes, and any other costs not
specifically provided for in these Official Rules are solely the Grand Prize Winner's responsibility.
Sweepstakes Entities shall have no responsibility or obligation to a Grand Prize Winner or potential
Grand Prize Winner who is unable or unavailable to accept or utilize Grand Prize as described herein.
Grand Prize Winner must provide a copy of a valid US-issued driver’s license or Identification for proof
of age prior to taking possession of the Grand Prize.
No substitution, transfer or cash equivalent of the Grand Prize or any portion thereof will be permitted,
except by Sweepstakes Entities, in which case a prize of comparable or greater value may be awarded.
11.
RELEASE/INDEMNIFICATION: By participating in the Sweepstakes, the Winner agrees to
release and hold harmless Administrator, Sponsor and their respective parent companies, and the
affiliates, dealers, subsidiaries, advertising, marketing and promotion agencies of each, and the officers,
directors, agents, and employees of all such companies (the “Released Parties”) from any and all
damages, liabilities, injuries, claims, causes of action or proceedings, costs, expenses or losses of any
kind including without limitation, personal injury, death, property damage, defamation, and any claims
based on the rights of publicity and privacy. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the
Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Sweepstakes, and
in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney’s fees. Entrant waives the right to claim any
damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, special, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect
damages including but not limited to damages caused or contributed by (a) unauthorized human
intervention in the Sweepstakes; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone
or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (e)
errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; or (f) injury or damage to
persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s
participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt/use of any prize. By accepting the Grand Prize, the winner
represents that they understand that travel, whether by plane, automobile, or other method, contains some
inherent element of risk of accident, illness, injury, loss or death, which may be caused by negligence,
forces of nature, or other agencies, known or unknown. Winner represents that they recognize that such
risks may be present at any time before, during and after the Sweepstakes and Grand Prize acceptance. In
order to be considered the Grand Prize winner, winner must be willing to accept the risk, and to confirm
their acceptance to such risk in writing at Sponsor's request.
12.
PUBLICITY AND GRANT OF USE: By entering this Sweepstakes, entrants hereby grant
Sponsors and Administrator and their employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives, licensees and
affiliates and their representatives, including any publishers or advertising media the right to use,
copyright, advertise publicly or put to any other purpose, a entrant's image, likeness, photograph, and
statements recorded or live voice, and the name and address of a entrant (hereinafter referred to as the
“GRANT OF USE”) received by Sponsors in connection with the Sweepstakes and each entrant hereby
releases Sponsors with any liability with respect thereto. Entrants understand that this GRANT OF USE is
required and provided without further payment or consideration, except as prohibited by law. Permission
is granted by entrants for any use, now or in the future, in connection with the Sweepstakes and/or the
marketing of Sponsors in any and all media. This GRANT OF USE is binding on entrants and their heirs,
assigns, executors, administrators and representatives. Upon request, Grand Prize Winner shall provide
written consent to such use.
13.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: Administrator and Sponsor reserve the right to terminate, cancel,
suspend and/or modify the Sweepstakes if intervening circumstances warrant, within Administrator and
Sponsor’s sole discretion due to any reason including, but not limited to, fraud, virus or other technical
problem, which corrupts the administration, security, or proper administration of the Sweepstakes. In such
event, Administrator and Sponsor reserve the right to award the prizes from among the eligible entries
received up to the time of the impairment. Administrator and Sponsor reserve the right in its sole
discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of
the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an un-sportsmanlike or disruptive
manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes
may be a violation of criminal and civil law; should such an attempt be made, Administrator and Sponsor
reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Administrator and Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a
waiver of that provision. Administrator and Sponsor shall have the sole discretion, in case of dispute as to
the owner of an eligible entry, to determine the identity of the owner of the eligible entry. Likewise, in the
event of a dispute as to the owner of an eligible entry, Administrator and Sponsor may, within its sole
discretion disqualify said entry. Any trademarks or names used in this promotion are the property of the
respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. In the event the winner engages in acts or
behavior which creates a risk of harm to himself or others, or to property, or creates a risk of liability for
the Sponsor, or damages the reputation of the Sponsor, it’s officers, employees, subsidiaries, partners or
promotional agencies the prize may be revoked.
Sweepstakes Entities (as defined above), its affiliates, subsidiaries, and agencies are not responsible for
lost, late, misdirected, unintelligible, returned or undelivered entries, telephone calls, text messages or
email, or for lost, interrupted or unavailable satellite, network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP),
Website, or other connections availability, accessibility or traffic congestion, miscommunications, failed
computer, network, telephone, satellite or cable hardware or software or lines, or technical failure, or
jumbled, scrambled, delayed or misdirected transmissions, computer hardware or software malfunctions,
failures or difficulties, or other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic or network.
Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of this Sweepstakes or Website, or act in violation of the
Official Rules, or act in any manner to threaten or abuse or harass any person, or violate Website’s terms
of service, as solely determined by the Sponsor, will be disqualified. Neither Sponsor nor its agencies are
responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information whether caused by Website users, tampering,
hacking, or by any of the programming or equipment associated with or used in this Sweepstakes, and
assumes no responsibility for any errors, omission, deletion, interruption or delay in operation or
transmission or communication line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized website access. Any use
of robotic, macro, automatic, programmed or like entry methods will void all such entries, and may
subject that entrant to disqualification. Neither Sponsor nor its agencies are responsible for injury or
damage to participant's or any other person’s computer or property related to or resulting from
participating in this Sweepstakes. Should any portion of Sweepstakes be, in the Sponsor’s sole opinion,
compromised by virus, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole
opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair administration, security, fairness or proper play of this
Sweepstakes, or submission of entries, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify
or terminate the Sweepstakes, and randomly select the winner from valid entries received prior to action
taken, or otherwise as may be deemed fair and equitable by the Sponsor. In the event of a dispute
regarding the identity of an online entrant, the authorized subscriber of the email account used to enter
will be deemed to be the entrant, and must comply with these rules. The authorized account subscriber is
the natural person who is assigned the email address by the ISP or other organization responsible for
assigning email addresses.
14.
USE OF INFORMATION AND PRIVACY: Information collected from entrants shall be used
to choose a Sweepstakes winner and to contact that winner at the end of the Sweepstakes Period.
Information collected from entrants will also be used by Sponsor, Administrator and Ford Motor
Company to update their database. Sponsor, Administrator and/or Ford Motor Company and/or its
affiliates may use the information to contact you by telephone, mail or email following the Sweepstakes

15.
DISPUTES: This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and
regulations. Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action
arising out of, or connected with, the Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually,
without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the State of
Michigan. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability
of these Official Rules, entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Administrator
in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of
the State of Michigan without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the
State of Michigan or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any
jurisdiction other than the State of Michigan.
