Providers The finalists and eventual winners of the Investment Life & Pensions Moneyfacts Awards are decided upon via a combination of methods. For all product-specific categories, there are two elements. The first is a financial adviser voting process that takes place between 9 March 2015 and 22 May 2015 where advisers are asked to nominate their top three providers across the full range of protection, retirement and investment products. Advisers are free to nominate any provider they desire, rather than selecting from a pre-determined shortlist of providers. These results are then added to the analytical expertise of our research team who monitor each provider’s product pricing and features during the preceding 12month period. For service categories, the awards are based purely on the adviser voting process. Advisers Throughout spring 2015, entries will be invited from the adviser community. Advisers complete a questionnaire providing details of their organisation, their level of expertise and how they deliver their advice proposition. They are also asked to support their nomination with client testimonials and evidence of their ability to deliver award-winning service. From the initial entries, a shortlist is drawn up, based on the quality of the submissions. Those shortlisted companies are then judged by a panel of industry experts. We hope that all providers have enough confidence in their products to think that they can win – and who wouldn’t want to be there to pick up an award? In addition, many organisations take the opportunity to invite key contacts, using the event as a networking and hospitality opportunity, or they invite staff to the event as a reward.
