DOWN SYNDROME GUILD
Herb’s Paint and Body and the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas
are once again partnering for a tournament you will not want to
miss! Two separate golf tournaments with over 28 years combined
successes are now partnering to raise funds that will allow the
Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas to carry out their mission of
providing accurate and current information, resources and
support for people with Down syndrome, their families and the
community. The Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas will be the
beneficiary of all proceeds of the tournament, expanding their
impact in the community.
THE DOWN SYNDROME GUILD OF DALLAS
The Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas is the only local non-profit
organization exclusively dedicated to providing resources and support to
people with Down syndrome. Down syndrome is the most common
chromosomal anomaly in our country, and more than 2,700 families in our
Dallas community have been directly impacted. For more than 34 years,
the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas has given hope and assistance to
these families.
Support families that have a member with Down syndrome
through visits, informational packets, informative new parent
quarterly meetings and a lending library of books and materials
The School Outreach program promotes collaborative
relationships between the DSG and local school districts to affect
positive outcomes for students with Down syndrome and their
families
A trained Guild member participates on the Down Syndrome
Clinic team at Children’s Medical Center
Monthly newsletter with information about area activities and
articles on medical, social, developmental, and educational
topics
Annual Fall Conference attended by educators, health
professionals and parents. The 2015 Conference topic is,
“Learning Together — Focusing on Possibilities.”
Annual spring Family Picnic and “Snackin’ with Santa”
Young Adult and Teen social events providing a fun and safe
environment.

Since inception in 1956, Herb’s has been a strong supporter of the
