April 12 ~ This morning our worship service will be led by Pastor Rick DeGraaf who serves as Pastor
of Congregational Life at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church in Cambridge. Also helping us bring the
gift of our worship is the youth group choir from the Moorefield Mennonite Church. We welcome both
Pastor Rick and the Moorefield Youth Choir to our church family and look forward to their ministry
among us! Pastor Paul is fulfilling a scheduled Classical Appointment at Pastor Rick’s church in
Cambridge today.
April 19 ~ Next week Sunday we hope to welcome back to our congregation Pastor Vic Vandermolen
from New Hamburg. We look forward to receiving Pastor Vic who, of course, is a familiar face a voice
among us. As this is the third Sunday of the month, Pastor Paul has a scheduled Sunday off.
Advance Notice: Please be aware that GEMS Sunday is scheduled for April 26!
Coffee: Please join us for coffee and fellowship after the worship service this morning.
Greeters are asked to help with coffee clean up after the church service.

~ 1: Budget 2: World Renew – Refugee Sunday
Today is Refugee Sunday! - The Christian Reformed Church in Canada has a long history of mirroring the love of
God by serving as “a refuge for the oppressed” (Psalm 9:9) through World Renew's refugee sponsorship ministry.
By praying for and supporting refugee families today, you are continuing this powerful ministry of mercy. Thank
you! With the growing refugee crisis, the needs are great—but so are the opportunities. Please prayerfully consider
how you and your church can offer hospitality and hope to families forced from their country because of threats to
their personal safety. For more information about sponsoring a refugee and World Renew's refugee justice
resources, go to www.worldrenew.net/refugeesponsorship or contact Rebecca Walker at 905-336-2920.

This past Friday morning Henny B. returned to the Royal Terrace from Palmerston’s Hospital. Henny
had been receiving care via Intravenous due to sickness and a bladder infection. Although still not fully
recovered, we thank the Lord for this progress. Pray for continual healing and daily encouragement.
Please continue to remember in prayer Mary Q. who regularly receives blood transfusions and seems to
be needing them a little more often lately. Pray for daily encouragement and also for her family
members as they seek to care for their mom.
This past week the B. family was informed that Jo-Ann B., wife of our previous pastor Gary B., has only
one healthy lung following recent lung transplant surgery. The left lung has begun to shrink and suffer
from Fibrosis causing complications to Jo-Ann’s overall recovery. Since she is also still on kidney dialysis
seven weeks after the operation, there is additional worry her kidneys will not recover if they don’t
regain function within the next two weeks. Although determined to make a full recovery, Jo-Ann’s
health concerns are critical. Pray for the left lung to completely stop working so as to give way for the
right lung; pray for her kidneys to regain function; pray for daily encouragement and comfort also for
her family.
Tomorrow afternoon the third annual Prayer Summit of the CRCNA kicks off at All Nations Christian
Reformed Church in Lakeview Terrace, California, until Wednesday. Over 180 people from all over
North America are registered to spend time praying for the Church, the next generation, healing and
conflict around the world.
For more information please take a moment to visit
www.joinprayersummit.org if you are able. Keynote speakers this year will include Rev. Julius
Medenblik, President of Calvin Seminary.

Church Potluck: Someone brought home the wrong lid for their crockpot from the congregational
potluck last week. It was an oval glass lid with a black handle and was with the potluck table section
nearest to the kitchen. The lid should be a little too small for the crockpot it was brought home with.
The right lid is in the kitchen at church. Please exchange the lids as soon as possible.
Disability Concerns Conference: We understand that if you have a hearing disability, meeting with
a large number of people and poor sound systems can diminish the joy and learning from a conference.
At Disability Concerns, one of our aims is to make our conference as accessible as we can. We offer
‘hearing loop’, CART (communications access realtime translation), ASL (American Sign Language, upon
request). Come and give us a try! Hear all about Understanding Anxiety and Depression and the 5
Stages: Changing Attitudes of Disability. Do you need other accommodations? We’ll do our best to help.
Contact Heather at [email protected]. To register and for more information go to

written by Christian authors/companies and meets and exceeds the program recommendations set by
the Ontario Ministry of Education and is taught by teachers who love and serve the Lord. Please feel
