The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) has received grants from various donors for the implementation of the humanitarian aid operation aimed at assisting Syrian families in Iraq in 2015. In order to undertake the humanitarian aid DRC requires the provision of INSURANCE (MEDICAL/GROUP LIFE & PERSONAL/WORKMAN) for its national staffs to support its operations in Iraq. 2. DRC intends to enter into a service contract for the supply of this service and for the year 2015 with DRC Iraq. One supplier will be selected for Service contract. 3. Therefore, the DRC requests you to submit price bid for the supply of INSURANCE (MEDICAL/GROUP LIFE & PERSONAL/WORKMAN) as listed on the attached DRC Bid Form (Annex C). 4. The ITB details are as follows: Type of Contract: Service contract Commodity: INSURANCE (MEDICAL/GROUP LIFE & PERSONAL/WORKMAN) ITB Tender Period: 19 March – 04 April 2015 ITB Closure Date and Time: Saturday 04 April 2015 at 1600hours local Iraqi time ITB Opening Date and Time: Sunday 05 April 2015 at 1000hours local Iraqi time at DRC Iraq Erbil Office. The following documents must be submitted in a hard copy in a sealed envelope for your Bid to be accepted by the Tender Opening Committee: a. The attached Tender and Contract Award Acknowledgement Certificate (Annex A) must also be completed and duly authorized by an authorized company representative and submitted in accordance with the Instructions for Invitation to Bid at Annex B. 6. The following is important Information Regarding this ITB: a. b. c. d. e. f. g. 7. This ITB is for a Service contract for the supply of Medical insurance to DRC Iraq KRI and South/Central Iraq. DRC may award a Service Contract with one Bidder. Only Bids offering the appropriate administrative documents (See Annex C2) to DRC Iraq, will be considered as ‘responsive’ bids. Non-responsive bids will not be accepted or evaluated. Only Bids submitted on Annex C to this ITB will be accepted with. In addition, you can provide supplementary documents, or technical data to support your bid. Required Minimum validity period: 60 days. The ITB Tender Opening is a public opening and all Bidders are invited to attend. Bidders must follow all the requirements of Annexes A, B and C2, otherwise their bids may be rejected by the Tender Opening Committee. The actual quantities required are unknown at this stage as they are subject to funding by the donors. DRC Iraq expects to purchase the following during the Service Contract period: 1) From 250 to 300 National staff (staff census will be provided in Excel format if requested) 2) From 200 to 300 dependents (optional, subject to funds availability) 8. For those Bidders that have not completed a DRC Supplier Profile and Registration Form (Annex H), they will be requested to complete this form if they are under consideration for a contract award, and prior to the signing of any such contract. 9. DRC will reject a Bid if it determines that the Bidder recommended for award, has engaged in corrupt, fraudulent, collusive, or coercive practices in competing for, or in executing, the Contract.
