Vision and Neuroplasticity: Transforming Our Physical, Emotional and Psychological Maps With Dr Sam Berne, Behavioural Optometrist, internationally-known author, researcher & teacher Dr. Sam Berne’s holistic approach to healing the eyes is based on the mind-body patterns the eyes reveal. Neuroscience shows the eye pathway connects directly to the brain and influences its function as well as the endocrine and nervous systems; that our primordial development affects postural, visual, vestibular and cognitive patterns as adults. And Chinese Medicine has long established the connection of the liver meridian to the eyes. Sam’s teaching begins with guiding each participant in their self-discovery of visual patterns and imprints they may be using as an adaptive response to stress, trauma and cultural conditioning. Topics include: • The Eye-Brain-Body Link as it relates to eye disease, focal ambient awareness, and perception • The Visual-Vestibular Connection as it relates to gravity, balance , and orientation • Color Therapy to open the peripheral vision, soften the survival response, and increase our neuroplastic capability • The Application of Medicinal Essential Oils to improve eye problems and general health conditions • Continuum Movement to help integrate the dynamic interplay between eyes, the brain & the body *We support, Seva.ca The Eye care Charity & Blindness prevention in developing countries.
