In addition to all of our regular academic instruction continuing daily, our students are spending time going on field trips, preparing for the story telling festival, participating in recess workshops in preparation for the walk-a-thon, taking the SAGE or other end of the year tests, practicing their dance for the dance festival on the 22nd, gearing up for field day, and enjoying all of the other end of year activities the school and grade levels will be participating in this year. We have many opportunities for you to come and be part of Dry Creek Elementary as we finish out our first year of existence. I hope you will take the opportunity to support your kids and our school as these events present themselves. Let’s finish the year off strong. Thanks, Sam Rencher PTA Pr esident’s M essage As we start to wrap up the first year here at Dry Creek, we are still working hard! This week is the Walk A Thon that the ladies have been preparing for the last month. We tried to make it so we could take payments online, but hopefully we can have everything in place to be able to do that next year. As a PTA, we work through the summer to have a wonderful year that moves like clockwork. The meetings will stay on the first Wednesday of the month, but will be at the Loch Lomond Park at 10 am. We would love to see some new faces that could also bring some insight that we haven’t had before. If you haven’t heard, we voted in Maggie Olsen as President Elect. This means that she will be learning the role that will be solely hers the year after. We are also excited to have Sherrylyn Chapman as Treasurer and Debbie Moosman as a new VP. We are sad to lose Rebekah Christensen and Amy Roskelly and thank them for their hard work. As always we welcome your feedback! Di Snarr
