BIO Hello Tigers! My name is Jake Adams, and I am the Principal Owner of DSTX Baseball, a company that combines technology and baseball acumen to provide tailored baseball instruction to youth players across central Texas. We are ecstatic to be partnering with DSYSA to offer personal training and private lessons for our talented kids here in Drippin’. I am originally a native of th Austin, 5 Generation Texan, and I possess a passion for teaching baseball. I grew up playing multiple sports in “back then,” small-town Austin, Texas, USA, playing against some of central Texas’ finest athletes. I attended Westlake High School, and after playing baseball and soccer my first year, I decided to pursue soccer full-time, and became a 3 year letterman for the 5A Chaparrals and earned an athletic scholarship to St. Louis University where I played NCAA Division 1 soccer for the Billikens. After 2 years in Missouri, I transferred to UNLV where I continued to play, and graduated with a degree in Management Information Systems. After college, I played semi-pro ball for the Austin Lightning, now Austin Aztecs. I also met my beautiful wife Sarah and we started our young professional careers. Two years ago, we moved to Dripping Springs from Westlake Hills, and decided to raise our family in this blessed little town. Sarah and I have two incredible children who amaze us every day. We are active members of St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church, and enjoy family time and baseball. Though I played soccer at a high level, I never lost my desire to teach America’s game. This season, I’m currently coaching the 11U Dripping Springs Elite Baseball Team while giving private lessons for DSTX Baseball. I look forward to seeing you at the ballpark. OUR APPROACH DSTX Baseball provides an economical learning platform where kids, parents, and coaches, can get personal instruction to develop key components of their game. Our training helps children gain greater confidence which leads to more fun on the diamond. Whether your child is new to the game or they’ve been playing for years (and want to cultivate a more advanced skillset), we can help. We understand that kids learn best through visual demonstration. For Basic Sessions, most of our kids show immediate improvement after our hands-on instruction of proper mechanics. For the Advanced Sessions, we capture stills and video, where we can breakdown swings, pitching, fielding, etc., to illustrate exactly where kids can improve. Our private lessons include the following elements: Infield/Outfield, Catching, Hitting, and Pitching. While DSTX Baseball offers a variety of private lessons for individuals, we also have group rates for coaching clinics, team practices, and camps. With my technology expertise combined with the time I’ve spent playing and studying the game of baseball, I’m able to provide kids a winning combination to accelerate their game.
