Welcome to Your
2014-2015 Race Season
Enjoy a unique opportunity for exceptional dining and
entertainment at the heart of the racing action. With a
wide range of tailored hospitality packages at top-class
restaurants, lounges and private suites – all with stunning
views of the racetrack, we cater for all requirements
whether you are entertaining clients, rewarding your staff
or planning a special evening with family and friends.
Racing will return to Meydan for the 2014- 2015 season
with a total of 19 meetings scheduled from November 6,
2014 through to the closing programme, the spectacular
20th Dubai World Cup on March 28, 2015. The season is
split into three parts: Racing at Meydan, the Dubai World
Cup Carnival and the Dubai World Cup race meeting.
The season begins with Racing at Meydan – a showcase
of eight race meetings spread over the months of November
through March. The race meetings are designed to promote
the rising talent of the UAE and the region and the racing is
regarded as a stepping stone into the premier league – the
prestigious Dubai World Cup Carnival (DWCC). The DWCC
will begin Thursday, January 8, 2015 and will offer 10 race
meetings leading up to the Dubai World Cup. This will
mark the 12th running of the highly successful Dubai World
Cup Carnival a concept that was created in 2004 as a race
season to further develop the growth and success of the
sport in the UAE and Dubai.
This season we celebrate the 20 th running of the
Dubai World Cup which is recognised as the “world’s richest
day in racing” with a total prize money of US$ 29.25 million
for the showcase of nine races. The Dubai World Cup
raceday features three of the most valuable contests in the
world of racing: the US$ 6 million Dubai Sheema Classic,
presented by Longines, the US$ 6 million Dubai Duty Free,
sponsored by Dubai Duty Free and the famed US$ 10 million
Dubai World Cup, sponsored by Emirates Airline.
Purchase of badges
Badges can be purchased from the Ticket Sales Office
located before the entrances and in between Gate B
and Gate C of the Meydan Grandstand from 8:00am to
8:00pm, Sundays to Thursdays and on Saturdays if it
is a raceday, from November 2, 2014 to March 27, 2015.
The Ticket Sales Office will be closed on official holidays.
It is recommended that you collect all badges prior to
the racenight to simplify admission on the night itself.

The Meydan Grandstand and
Racecourse Facility Overview
This unique development featuring the Meydan
Grandstand spans 1.6 kilometres and accommodates a
capacity of 80,000 spectators. It houses the world’s first
five-star trackside hotel, The Meydan which provides a
prime location to catch the exhilarating action of the race
season, and creates a coveted travel destination all-year
round. The Meydan Grandstand is an ideal venue, not
only for enjoying the races but also for hosting corporate
events such as meetings, incentives, conferences and
exhibitions as well as private entertainment all year
round. From the Sky Bubble offering 360° views of Dubai,
to outside terraces & decks, luxurious banquet rooms
& private suites and The Apron for large concerts and
festivals. Meydan Grandstand also features QUBE Sports
Bar and the Track Restaurant. Located alongside Meydan
Racecourse is The Track, Meydan Golf’s 9-hole floodlit golf
course managed by Troon offering an open pay and play fee
structure welcoming golfers of all levels. Meydan Tennis
Academy, operated by Tennis 360 offers state of art tennis
facilities for members and guests.

and enjoy an exciting morning featuring live commentary,

Saturday: March 7, 2015
The biggest race meeting apart from the Dubai World Cup
itself, Super Saturday replicates all the races of the big day
and offers an indication of who to look out for on March 28.

Free Admission
During the race season the free admission area gives access
to all guests and children (including those under the age of
5 years old in push chairs or strollers) to a limited section
within the Meydan Grandstand with a large number of
Grandstand seats available boasting excellent views.
With sufficient room on the vast apron area between the
track and the Grandstand, visitors on the sides of the apron
can get a close view of the thoroughbreds in the Parade
Ring, before and after the race.
A variety of food and beverage outlets are available on the
Mezzanine Level in the purpose designed food court area
offering dining tables. All food and drinks on the premises
must be bought from one of the outlets within the Meydan
Grandstand. Visitors are not permitted to bring their own
food and drinks. Admission Gates open from 5:00pm
(6:45pm post time), 1:30pm (3:00pm post time) and on
Super Saturday March 7, 2015 where gates open at 2:30pm
(4:00pm post time).
*General Admission is free on all racenights except on Dubai World Cup
day when admission is AED 25 per person. Children 12 years and under
gain free entry. No tickets sold on Dubai World Cup day, March 28, 2015.

Dining at
The Races
Premium Seating
The Premium Seating area is situated opposite the finish
line, offering stunning views of all the action. Guests can
soak up the electric atmosphere in this alfresco area from
the comfort of their seats.
Food and beverages are readily available for sale from
the food and beverage kiosks strategically placed at the
entrance to the Premium Seating area. Guests can enjoy
light snacks from the comfort of their seats without
missing the horseracing action. The food and beverage
kiosks will be operational when the gates open at 5:00pm
(6:45pm post time), 1:30pm (3:00pm post time) and on
Super Saturday March 7, 2015 when gates open at 2:30pm
(4:00pm post time).
Parade Ring Lounge
This Lounge area spanning two levels on the Mezzanine
and Ground Floor is adjacent to the Parade Ring. Enjoy
privileged close-up views of the horses in the Parade Ring,
or get close to all the racing action. Guests can also watch
the racing action from the flat screen TVs whilst sipping on
their favourite beverages or enjoying some traditional pub
style food from the à la carte menu.
Badges for this area only grant access to Parade Ring
Lounge and Premium Seating. No reservations for tables
will be made. Entry for 21 years of age and above only.
The Lounge will be operational when the gates open at
5:00pm (6:45pm post time), 1:30pm (3:00pm post time)
and on Super Saturday March 7, 2015 when gates open
at 2:30pm (4:00pm post time).

Silks
Featuring a glass fronted dining area, Meydan Grandstand’s
signature restaurant, spans across Levels 2 and 3, and
is perfectly positioned to allow each table of the 4 tiers
amazing views of the Meydan Racecourse and winners
circle whilst enjoying the set menu. Impeccable service
provided by a dedicated team to complete your dining
experience.
This modern take on an international buffet, offers a stylish
array of gourmet delights, encouraging all guests to savour
as many of the delightful flavours on offer throughout the
night. With floor to ceiling windows, the restaurant offers
beautiful elevated views of the horseracing, proving the
perfect choice for racing enthusiasts. Whilst socialising
with friends, family or work colleagues, guests can also
enjoy the races from the attached outdoor balcony.
The package will be served for four hours and begins
30 minutes before the start of the first race.

restaurants, the Tiered Restaurant located on Level 2
and Silks which is located on Level 3 in the Meydan
Grandstand. With elegant and stylish décor both

The buffet will be served for four hours and begins
30 minutes before the start of the first race.

The Meydan Grandstand, home to no less than 72 luxurious
hospitality suites, is the ideal location for entertaining
guests – spectacular views, racing excitement and fine food.
Measuring between 50 square meters to 415 square meters,
the suites can cater for 10 to 500 people and are located
on Levels 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. During Racing at Meydan and
Dubai World Cup Carnival suites will be available for group
bookings. Combining luxury and elegance, suites on Levels
3, 4 and 5 boast their own private terrace seating areas and
suites on Levels 6 and 7 have their own private balcony
area, allowing guests to marvel at the breath-taking views
of the Meydan Racecourse and horseracing action. Private
Grandstand Suite entertainment is a great way to impress

2. Select a dining facility
Silks Buffet Restaurant or Tiered Restaurant. Please refer
to pages 14-17 for more information on the dining facilities.
3. Proceed to book
The Ticket Sales Office is open from Sundays to Thursdays,
8:00am-8:00pm and on Saturdays if it is a raceday, from
November 2, 2014 to March 27, 2015 and is located prior to
the entrances and in between Gates B & C of the Meydan
Grandstand. The Ticket Sales Office will be closed on official
holidays. Alternatively you can book online through our
website: dubairacingclub.com.
4. Pay for your badges
You can pay for your badges by the following methods:

The RTA operates a taxi service from Meydan Grandstand

Car hire is available and the rental company will arrange
temporary local driving licenses for visitors. Renters must
produce their passport, two photographs and either a valid
international license or national license from most

Middle East is on the right-hand-side of the road.

1. How many races are there on each racenight?
3. What competitions can I enter on racenights?
Racing at Meydan has six races per night and the
Dubai World Cup Carnival has six or seven races per night
at 35-40 minute intervals, with gates opening one and a half
hour before the post time of the first race. It is recommended
that you arrive at the Meydan Grandstand and Racecourse
30 minutes before the first race to allow time to find parking,
reach your desired hospitality area, and complete the
Pick 6 (prediction game) competition entry form which must
be handed in 15 minutes before the start of the first race.
A prediction ‘Pick 6’ competition is held every racenight.
Competition details are available in the evening’s race
programme. Entry for the competition is free of charge
and the winners will be notified by SMS and the winning
numbers will appear on the LED Screen. The ‘Triple Tri’
competition is free to enter and is applicable for the final
three races of the evening’s race programme.
2. What are the Hospitality Package timings?
The Hospitality and Beverage Package timing is four hours.
Kindly refer to the Hospitality Timings on page 8 for
further details.

4. What is the Dubai Racing Club children’s policy?
Grandstand – Free Admission*
All guests and children (including those under the age of
five years old in push chairs or strollers) are allowed access
to the free admission area of the Meydan Grandstand.
5. What is the dress code?
The dress code for the free admission area is casual attire.
Smart attire is required of those entering the Meydan
Grandstand hospitality area. Women are encouraged to
wear hats and feminine attire , though it is optional. T-shirts,
trainers, flip-flops and shorts are strictly prohibited in the
Meydan Grandstand and the Parade Ring.
6. Where are the Hospitality Areas?
Children under the age of five years old (including children
in push chairs or strollers) are not allowed access to any of
the hospitality areas throughout the Meydan Grandstand.
All guests, including children are required to wear a badge
to enter all hospitality areas. All children are required to pay
full price to enter all hospitality areas, with the exception
of Silks, where children’s tickets (5-12 years) are priced at
50% of the adult price and the cover charge for children
(0-4 years) is AED 50 per child. Guests entering the Parade
Ring Lounge must be 21 years of age and above (proof of
identity is required).
7. Will I be able to purchase food in the Grandstand?
Yes, we have a Food Court located on the Mezzanine Floor
of the Grandstand and racegoers can purchase food and
beverages from the selection of multi-cuisine food outlets.
8. Where can I purchase official merchandise?
An exclusive range of merchandise will be available from
the Meydan Grandstand Gift Shop located at Concourse B
and from the Merchandise Pavillion at Concourse A.
9. Is there a dedicated area for children within the
Grandstand?
Kids Area – Food Court
This fun area located on the Mezzanine Floor will include
arts and crafts, games and toys for kids aged 2-10.
Kids Area – Premium Seating
This area located on the Concourse Level A will include arts
and crafts stations, an arcade machine and fun-filled games
for kids five and over.
Arcade Area – Food Court
This dedicated Arcade area on the Mezzanine Floor will be
suitable for kids of all ages, with various arcade games to
keep them entertained throughout the evening.
