Hope you all enjoyed a short break from training.
Remember, it’s back to normal this week.
I’m sure you have all been following the progress of the
Age National Championships last week in Sydney.
Congratulations to Jessica Adams, Lauren Ralph, Andrew
Rice and Matthew Temple on their wonderful effort and
results. Also our appreciation to coach Brian Miller who
accompanied the swimmers and whose support and
dedication is important at such an event.
Remember to get your entries in for Club Champs –
closes 25th April – no late entries will be accepted.
Another important upcoming event, is the annual
Swimathon. Remember you can come along and
swim for as long or as little as you like, or if you are
not swimming perhaps sponsor a swimmer who is.

Registered recreational swimmers please send your entries
to [email protected] as you cannot use the online
entry system.
All swimmers should enter this important Club event.
There are not many occasions when DVE swimmers all
come together at one meet and this is a great opportunity
to socialise and acknowledge one another. It is also a good
way to track your progress and compete in a fun and
friendly environment.
To have a chance at being age group champion it is
recommended swimmers enter ALL events for their age
group.
Family Handicap relays will be held again this year, so get
your team together and have some fun. Send entries to

PRESENTATION NIGHT
Saturday 20th June, 2015
Presentation Night is a celebration of all the hard work and
effort put in by our members.
Club trophies and awards will be presented on this evening.
Put this important date in your diary.

Details on the Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible to compete at the DVE Club Championships
you must have competed in at least 5 of the following
events.
MN SV Winter Inter-Club (3 rounds)
Any of the DVE Qualifying swim meets (5 events)
Club Aggregate (7 rounds)
DVE Swim-a-thon (1)
MN Inter-Club Aggregate (3 rounds)
(each event or round counts as 1 event, so for example all
3 rounds MN Aggregate would count as 3)
Swimmers who have joined the Club since 1st January
2015 and have not had the opportunity to compete in 5
Club events, may still compete in the Club Championships,
but will only be eligible for place medals in events. Not
eligible for Age or Junior/Senior Club Champion.
