SWIMMING COMPETITIONS CO-ORDINATOR

Well done to the 81 people who took part in the DVE
Aquatic annual swimathon at WaterMarc on the
weekend. A grand total of 27,687 laps were swam, with
12 swimmers achieving 1000+ laps. A great effort by all
involved. Please ensure all sponsorship money is
collected and returned to the Club by 29th May.
Onto the next Club event. There has been a great
response to the DVE SC meet being held this weekend
with the meet at capacity. Good luck to all our
swimmers and thank you in anticipation to all parents
for their assistance on the day, your help is invaluable.

HELP REQUIRED
DVE AQUATIC SC MEET
Sunday 17th May, 2015
This event is at full capacity with a total of 323 swimmers
competing. This is great news for DVE as the meet
generates much needed funds for the Club.
To ensure this event runs smoothly and is a great success
we require the assistance of ALL parents attending the
meet with their children. Please volunteer your time to
assist with one of the many jobs on the day. Remember
many hands make light work!






Ideally DVE should provide two timekeepers per lane for
the entire meet. We should not have to rely on other clubs
to fulfill all these positions. It is an expectation that all
families will assist with timekeeping.

The next round of Club Aggregates is being held at Eltham
Leisure Centre on Saturday 23rd May. Warm up will be from
6:15am, racing starts at 6:30am sharp and finishes by
8:15am. Following the swimming is a BBQ breakfast.
Club Aggregates are a fun activity for all members and
provide an opportunity for both casual and squad
swimmers to experience and/or practice racing in a friendly,
familiar environment. It also provides an opportunity to
meet people, socialise and build team spirit.
