Eastern Iowa Fellowship of Christian Athletes
th
11 Annual Home Team Drive & Banquet
Our Vision: To see Eastern Iowa impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches & athletes.
Mission
To present to athletes & coaches, and all whom they influence, the
challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord,
serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.
Values
Relationships will demonstrate steadfast commitment to Jesus Christ
and His Word through Integrity, Serving, Teamwork & Excellence.
Programs
Coaches Ministry - At the heart of FCA are coaches. FCA touches
coaches through Bible studies, staff visits, prayer support, discipleship
and mentoring.
Campus Ministry - Campus Ministry is initiated and led by student
athletes & coaches in schools (junior high & high school) and college
campuses. The programs include Huddles, team Bible studies, chapel
programs, Team FCA membership, school assemblies, One Way 2
Play (drug & alcohol free program) and other special events.
Camps Ministry - Camps are “inspiration and perspiration” for
athletes & coaches to reach their potential in comprehensive athletic,
spiritual and leadership training. Types of camps include Sports,
Leadership, Coaches, Youth Sports and Partnership Camps.
Community Ministry - Outside of campus-based ministries, FCA
hopes to reach the community through partnerships with local
churches, businesses, parents and volunteers. These ministries also
invest in athletes and coaches. Community Ministries include:
Parent Booster Clubs, Sport-Specific, Urban Initiatives, Clinics,
Products & Resources and Professional Athletes Ministries.
In 2014, records were once again set in almost every
ministry area. We saw more than 450,000 students involved
in FCA on a record 11,912 campuses.
In the fall of 2014, more than 185,000 students were reached at
505 fields across the nation for FCA’s annual Fields of Faith event,
where students share testimonies, encourage each other to read the
Bible daily and come to faith in Jesus Christ.
FCA’s 505 field offices and 1,205 staff distributed 192,055 Bibles
worldwide. Since 2003, FCA has distributed approximately two
million Bibles- including nine different versions and the first legally
published Chinese sports devotional.
FCA conducted a record 516 camps in 40 states and 33 countries
last summer with over 86,000 in attendance- countless lives were
transformed by outstanding competition and spiritual growth. Over
10,000 first-time commitments to Christ and over 9,500
recommitments to Christ resulted from FCA camps in 2014.
Over 9,500 coaches attended FCA Bible studies throughout
the country, and FCA has launched the new 3D Coaching program,
designed to help coaches become transformational in the lives of
their players by learning to coach wholistically from a faith-based
perspective.

Colt McCoy: A Story of Faith and Football
Date:
Location:
Faith and football have been part of Colt McCoy’s life since
the very beginning. One of the greatest “FCA alumni” and
ambassadors for Christ you will find playing professional
sports, Colt’s story is remarkable by any standard.
11th ANNUAL
BANQUET
McCoy started his long football career at an early age
and played for his father (Brad) at Jim Ned High School (Tuscola, Texas) where he
became one of the greatest Lone Star State quarterbacks ever. A First Team AllState selection who passed for over 9000 yards and 116 touchdowns, Colt is the
all-time pass leader in Texas Division 2A high school history. Colt first became
involved in FCA in high school where his school-based huddle group had a huge
impact on his football career and his life.

Keynote Speaker:
Recruited by nearly every school in the country, McCoy attended the University of
Texas at Austin where he played for Mack Brown’s Longhorns football team from
2005-2009. He was a four-year starter, winning or sharing the team’s MVP award
all four years (the only player in school history to do so). McCoy was a member of
the 2005 National Championship Team and became the winningest quarterback
in college history, passing for over 13,000 yards and 112 touchdowns. His list
of accomplishments is almost unimaginable as he established over 50 school,
conference or bowl game records. He was the Heisman Trophy runner-up (2008) and
also finished third for that prestigious honor in 2009. He continued to be actively
involved in FCA at the University of Texas where his faith grew while regularly
attending meetings and speaking on behalf of FCA in schools.
