PRINCIPAL’S COMMENT
We are well into April and, as such, the
intermediate students are working hard getting
ready for the Regional Track Meet on May 6th.
With the sunny weather we have been fortunate
with our practices, which are held Monday
through Thursday at 1:00 p.m. We remind all
students to make sure that they have proper
athletic gear for those days.
Another fun event that
the students are excited
for
is
our
Spring
Carnival. This year the
theme is Superheroes and
we encourage all students
to come in costume and
join the fun on Thursday,
May 28th. The carnival
committee has been
working hard to plan for the carnival and
students can look forward to games and events
including, a cake walk, inflatable bouncy
equipment, face painters and much more. We
hope to see all of our EB Superheroes there!

INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE
WORLD SCHOOL
INFORMATION EVENING
MONDAY APRIL 27, 2015
Mark your calendar.
We invite all
parents/guardians to an information evening
regarding the possibility of EB seeking
International Baccalaureate Primary Years
Programme accreditation through IB World
Schools. The Primary Years Programme is
aimed at students aged 5-12 years (Gr. KN-7).
We are exploring the idea of augmenting our
current teaching practices through inquiry-based
learning and the PYP programme.
If you plan to attend this very informative
meeting and haven’t sent in your RSVP, please
call Mrs. Reid Reynolds at 604-943-0201 to
reserve your spot. We look forward to seeing
you there.
READING LINK CHALLENGE
ARE YOU MOVING???
The Reading Link Challenge is over for the year
but we want to pass along congratulations to the
team which represented English Bluff at the
district level. The Guinness World Readers had
a big job ahead of them when they had to prepare
for a contest in which they had to compete
against 19 other teams from various schools
throughout North and South Delta. Our
students did very well but were kept in suspense
until the very end as the contest went into two
very exciting overtime sessions before a winner
was announced. Although we did not finish first,
we finished strong! Congratulations to Hyun
Cho, Hailey Nelson, Rachel Rosser, Benjamin
Rainboth, Jade Glicksohn and Spencer
Kenney!
In preparation for next year to
get an accurate count, it
would be most helpful to
know if your child will be in
attendance at English Bluff
next year. Please call Mrs.
Reid Reynolds as soon as
possible (604) 943-0201 if you have
intentions of moving out of the area
and/or moving your child to another
school.
SAVE THE DATE
CHILD FIND BC

Department, have planned a child identification
and fingerprint clinic on Wednesday, May 20th
from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at English Bluff.
Please see the information letter coming home
today.
