This summer my boyfriend and I, leaving our busy city-life, are holidaying in a villa on a far-away
island, with not much comfort, not even telephone connection.
I'm not really a sun person, and I am worried about what we'll do with our time. Apart from books,
what do readers recommend we take that won’t be expensive?
What are your thoughts?
1. A pack of cards and a Travel Scrabble set served us well during a week in Lido di Jesolo.
2. When it rained so much we began to think to return home.
3. Hiking is a good idea. You can take short or long walks. It depends on what you want to do.
4. I had my holiday in a farmhouse in France, where we got a radio/cd player and lots of
magazines.
5. Check the weather forecast before you go and make sure you have sunscreen and some bottled
water. It may be far away but there may be pretty places to visit.
6. Take a backpack and find a very good local map.
7. Is there a kitchen? Can you get some good groceries there? If you enjoy cooking, try new
recipes. Go to the local market.
8. You'll be sleeping late and having lots of time, right? Peaceful meals, talking, reading a book,
and you're fine, I think. That's a great holiday.
9. Find out if you can hire a couple of bicycles locally, then explore at your leisure by bike. You
will get plenty of exercise while enjoying the countryside.
10. Just the two of you, in the middle of nowhere, without TV – no problem. You can watch TV
when you get back to the city.

You are reading an article about chocolate tasting. Some parts (10) are missing from the text. Find

Chocolate tasting is like wine tasting – you don’t eat it
One day Sandy Martens and one of her colleagues had 0 ….. almost 10 kilos of chocolates. It took
