FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear Parents and Friends, Who can believe it, we are now into June. The leaves are falling, the chill is here & already half the year has passed. No longer are we sending the children in sunscreen & hats, but coats & woolly warm clothes. The building works continue to progress & is still on schedule to finish on time by the end of term. The interruption to families at pick up & drop off seems to be working smoothly. We would like to extend our thanks to the continued patience & support by all families. The new works has generated much interest in the children. With the newly laid rubber in the pre-school playground, the children have created a new bike game with the ‘track’ in the rubber. The toy tools are being used to bang & sand, fixing the doll house. Even the babies in the nursery aren’t perturbed by the noise & carry-on. I hope the dreaded cold/flu doesn’t catch you. The un-named food & drink containers are becoming a problem. We have too many precious children at our centre with various allergies & we cannot take the chance with guessing which lunch box belongs to which child. We have a permanent texta at the front desk that you can use to write your childs name on their containers if you need to. We cannot stress enough how important this issue is. Fundraising News Movie Night Water for Elephants Movie Night. This was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. I think a few of us found it quite teary, but that might have been because of the champers! We raised $260 which will go towards much needed art supplies for Playstation. How about adding an afternoon session to your morning session? From the 5th September this year, 2012 enrolment packs will be made available for all existing members at Playstation. This year we will be giving the option to receive these forms via email instead of having a pack waiting for you at the centre. This way you will receive the forms the first day they are available, and can print and complete them ready to take with you to your first session that week. Playstation continues to adopt a first-in-first served allocation for placement. If you would like to receive your enrolment pack via email, please return this slip to the centre with an up to date email address. If we do not receive a response from you, a pack will be waiting for you at the centre from September 5.
