ITINERARY
Day 1 Depart South Wales travelling to Harrogate
Day 2 We travel to Old Malton and visit the Eden
Camp, an entertaining museum based in the grounds of
an original WWII Prisoner of War camp which lets you
experience the sights, sounds and even smells of
wartime life. We continue to Terrington and the multi
award winning Yorkshire Lavender Farm, set in a
spectacular hillside farm of nearly 60 acres, facilities
include a tea room and gift shop with an ultimate
collection of quality lavender products, lavender bags
and mementoes.
Day 3 A half day tour to the city of Ripon, a beautiful
market town where monasteries have stood since the
7th Century. The old city of Ripon is filled with shops,
cafes, restaurants, and pubs, and also boasts many
historical buildings and museums, including Ripon
Cathedral, the Wakeman’s House, Studley Royal,
Fountains Abbey and Ripon Spa Gardens where a
Victorian bandstand is set. A market is held every
Thursday on the market square next to its 300 year old
Obelisk. Afternoon at leisure in Harrogate.
Day 4 A full day Dales Explorer. We travel via Leyburn
to Wensleydale a beautiful valley set in the heart of the
Yorkshire Dales. Majestic castles, waterfalls, picturesque
villages are just some of its many attractions. We stop
in Hawes and visit The Wensleydale Creamery Visitor
Centre. An extraordinary place to visit, full of history,
heritage, and heaps of Wensleydale cheese-fuelled fun!
Take a trip back in time to where Wensleydale cheesemaking began as you explore the museum before we
return via Kettlewell and Skipton.
Day 5 Return to South Wales.

Highclere Castle
Highclere Castle The present day Castle was
designed in 1842 by Sir Charles Barry, the architect
also responsible for building the Houses of Parliament
in Westminster. Visitors can take a look through the
magnificent Gallery bedrooms, which remain today as
they were in Edwardian England and as used by Cora,
Countess of Grantham in the hit television drama:
'Downton Abbey'.

finest medieval cathedral. We return via Stonehenge,
