About the BSA Yorkshire MedSoc Group
The British Sociological Association Medical Sociology group for Yorkshire
was launched in February 2014 with an event at Sheffield University
(plenary speaker Prof Mary Dixon Woods) that brought together
researchers from across the region to discuss stimulating work conducted
by well-established and more junior colleagues. This was followed by a
second event at Leeds Beckett University with a plenary from Prof Maggie
Mort) and presentations from early career researchers based in Yorkshire.
Events include lots of time for networking with other researchers and
opportunities get involved with the Group.
