ENTRE DOS MUNDOS:
Uniting Communities Through Arts and Literacy
This year FESTIBA’s Librarians and Educators Day
was held on March 6. It was an opportunity for
EEISD library staff to hear the distinguished panel
discuss the importance of uniting literacy and the
arts. Event keynote speakers were Valente Rodriguez, actor and Edcouch-Elsa alum, and Sonia
Nazario, journalist and author of national bestselling book Enrique’s Journey. Both with very personal and truly inspiring stories to share, spoke of
the importance of cultural heritage and relevance
in literature. It is the key to motivate and elevate the quality of life in our region.
