Derby Public Schools FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 5, 2015 Derby High School Commencement The Derby High School’s Commencement ceremony will be held on June 18, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Ryan Field. In the event of inclement weather the graduation ceremony will be moved to the Derby High School gymnasium. Our Valedictorian is Christopher Diaz and our Salutatorian is Patrycja Drozdz. Christopher will be heading to Cornell University in the fall and Patrycja will be headed to the University of Connecticut. Our Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Dianna R. Wentzell, Commissioner of Education. Dr. Wentzell has a bachelor’s degree in Russian Studies from Mount Holyoke College, a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Hartford.
