Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) Scholarships & Attachments A*STAR Graduate Academy (A*GA) of Agency for Science, Technology and Research offers awards and scholarships to young aspiring scientific talent from top global universities to enable them to pursue their passions in science and engineering and to prepare them for a rewarding R&D career which include the following: 1. Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) Under the SINGA, BS and MS graduate will receive PhD degree from one of the three top 50 universities in world - NUS, NTU or SUTD. (read more) while carrying out their research at these universities or a chosen A*STAR’s Research Institute (RI) of A*STAR. Each year, there are two intakes (starting in August or January) with deadlines of January 1 and June 1 respectively. Minimum degree required: BS When to apply: Best time to submit an application is during the last semester in school but need to earn the degree before the start of the PhD study 2. A*STAR Research Attachment Programme (ARAP) Under this programme, PhD students from overseas universities will spend one to two years at A*STAR Research Institutes under the joint supervision of staff of the A*STAR Research Institutes and their home overseas university (read more). Singapore International Pre-Graduate Awards (SIPGA) The Singapore International Pre-Graduate Award (SIPGA) supports short-term research attachments for international students at one of the Research Institutes of A*STAR.
