The Empty Container Storage Free Working Stock Scale, as mentioned in the referenced
announcements has been updated as attached for two year contracts signed as of the
01.04.2015.
The application conditions of our announcement will be as follows :
1. Transhipment containers are not included in the empty container free working stock
2. The container benefiting from the global storage indemnity and which gate out of the
port by rail or by road should be loaded onto the vessel after returning to the port by
road or by rail. Otherwise, normal tariff will be reflected on the said container’s
empty status.
3. Nomination of the empty containers will be made by MIP.
4. A monthly count of the TEU/Days will be tabulated at the end of each month. For
excess of TEU/Days in each month, a charge of USD 2,5 per exceeding TEU-Day
applies.
5. This application will be valid as of the 01.04.2015 and until that date the referenced
announcement conditions will apply.
6. The Shipping Lines/Owners/Shipping Agencies (Separate application to be done for
each Line represented by the same Agency) are required to sign a 2 year agreement,
having stated their selected annual volume commitments.
7. Container lines having signed 2 year Empty Container Storage Free Working Stock
contracts with MIP will be able to transfer +/-5% of total yearly container volumes
between the contractual years in order to fulfill the commitment in the agreement.
8. Final date to apply for the signature of a contract is Thursday 30 April 2015.
